I think based off BTLs video the idea is just bouncing Kirin around among all the NINs and WARs you have beating on him

Yeah, that's why I mentioned it, because people are talking about tank parties and such. Unless everyone who's supposed to hold hate goes in to deal damage as well, someone's gonna feel pretty useless it seems.Originally Posted by Krandor
I use the Spyle one, and I think whether or not it is able to parse the longer fights is kind of based on your computer's performance somehow (as well as maybe some luck and/or the time passed by?). I'm not very advanced in details of computer science, so I'm not really sure if that's possible... But not too long ago when I was playing on my laptop, it was very rare for parses to go through on long fights like Tiamat and such.Originally Posted by Schlitzohr
But, now on a new top of the line desktop, they almost always go through. Time passed by seems to have something to do with it too, in which case 10-20m Kirin kills should still show up on the parse anyway.
I also filter just about everything aside from damage, so that might have something to do with it as well.
In either case, all of the Kirin fights went through. He seems to have about 60k HP, a lot less than we thought he did.
Yep, for sure... You may not get sub 5 minute kills, but you can definately manage sub 15 and probably even sub 10. We only had like 5 melee DDs total on him for those fights, and I'm sure if you'd get the same results by just adding a few more as long as they have BRD and healing support.Originally Posted by Deftscythe
In reality BRDs make the biggest difference in this fight.. It can be the difference between 50-60% accuracy and 85-90% accuracy, it's a huge improvement. We were floored with the results, and probably will do the same in the future.
So yeah, as long as you keep the DDs alive and support them well you should be fine. But it requires everyone to really be on their toes, small mistakes usually end up being big. Need to be fast on cures and buffs.
unrelated but miruka your sig is priceless rofl...
Just about the only way anyone dies to Kirin is:
1. Stonega IV + TP Attack
2. Stone V, Quake, or Deadly Hold with no shadows
3. Astral Flow
The only other damage you would take is from heat breath and that whirlwind/sandstorm thing, certainly not enough to drain mages of their MP.
If you could make parties with 2x BRD, 3x Melee, 1x Healer, 10 minutes should be cake
I lol everytime I read that XDunrelated but miruka your sig is priceless rofl...
Hi RKenshin
What was the avrage of the Rampage dmg?
thnx
Might Strike Rampage did like 1000-1600? Normal Rampage did 500ish maybe. I'm pretty sure Kirin's defense would be comparable to demons in Xarcabard.Originally Posted by Mijin

I think in the video it shows about 800-900 Rampages with full buffs on.
On the topic of parser, I just recently updated my computer so I don't see how that could make any difference. Maybe it just doesn't like me![]()
Rampage damage is usually pretty low, it's very dependent again on your support. But again like I said earlier, the majority of the damage delt is from melee damage (like 70%), so WS damage overall is on the weaker side. Each fight our WS averages went up though as we tweaked our gear and added more support.Originally Posted by Mijin
The average in the first fight (one BRD, first try) came out to be ~280, with high of 568 and a low of 35 between us three.
The average in the second fight (one BRD, tweaked gear) came out to be ~330, with high of 630 and a low of 48 between us three.
The average for the third fight (two BRD+tweaked gear) came out to be ~440, with a high of 783 and a low of 35.
Only time you get numbers like Faranim mentioned is with Mighty Strikes and a lucky DA or two, which we used in the last two fights. The range with MS on is more like 900-1400 ish max.
/OT: Nice LJ update Rukenshin.
Great NIN or Greatest NIN ever?
My LS just tried this today. Was going well until we messed up and add pt got owned by CS suz lol. We recovered and got it kirin down in about 9 min after things settled. As a side note, you definitely need ridill WARs if you want to come MNK/WAR.
Thanks for the compliments.^^;![]()
And yeah, Suzaku gave us trouble one try too.. Still need a few RDM/DRKs to alternate Chainspell or at least a Shadowbind, or a crazy Suzaku could kill almost everyone.
We still haven't tried MNK/WAR with the proper support/gear/merits though in this seeing as we've only just recently started this strategy, and do a grand total of like 2-3 sets of Kirin runs a year. Keeping in mind that most of the damage comes from melee DoT and MNKs really excel in that catergory, I'm not so sure even decked out Ridill WARs could keep Kirin from looking at them (especially with all the damage tanks take). So it might be kind of unavoidable.
How exactly do you handle the gods, Ruke? Just manaburn with necesarry support(afore-mentioned CS-stun and Shadowbind)?
Edit: And yeah, when I said tanks before, I meant the Wars.
Since you're talking about Kirin I would think one pimped RDM/WHM would be plenty to handle Suzaku...baby suzy is very very easy to Silence and keep that way.
Lol, reminds me of super oldschool Suzaku fights where RDMs hadn't all finished leveling DRK and we'd have someone CS silence instead.Originally Posted by Raineer
