I always wonder if I am doing things right...it really is scary when you are a parent, since eventually you realize that every thing you do or not do affects your kid, and you always hope your son won't get all screwed up because of you and become a killer or something

Edit: I look at my pay stub and realize it sucks how much I pay for taxes, don't be a tool, stop stealing from schools, since you are stealing from yourself and everyone else in your community, as to this subject, either just stay away from your "friends" and don't buy it, or maybe call the police on one of them anonymous lines to report it (from a payphone or something of course) since you do know what happened you may as well have been an accomplice.

I think the best way to learn how to be a parent is ofcourse by experiance, but id think taking what your parents taught you, and then changing what didnt work and hope that it does work on your kids.. Ofcourse every kid is diffrent, and sometimes no matter how well you raise them, they may turn out to be completly diffrent.

I hope when I have kids one day I will do a good job >.<

Yep, thats about it, I always thought the same thing too, always wanted to make sure I do a good job...so far my son is 6 (just turned 6 last friday) and he does not hate me..yet...so, so far so good :D

I don't think I could cope if I had a child that turned out like those horrible monsters on "My Super Sweet Sixteen". They are the bottom of the barrel of humanity.

Those kids on that show turned out that way because their parents were idiots who treated them like they were way too important. You treat your daughter/son like they are royalty they will believe they are entitled to shit and they deserve it. The parents are to blame for that shit. Parents are to blame for almost 99% of their kids learned behavior. They are to blame for the TV shows, music, and video games their kids partake in as well. I am sick of irresponsible parents.

My mother already says when I have kids she will spoil them rotten. I am not looking forward to that at all. There is no way however I will purposely avoid passing my specific genetic material onto the next generation. I may die, but at least I will pass my genes on. Raising a kid will be challenging, but I will do my best and learn from the mistakes I perceive others making. I do however expect to make mistakes and that I won't raise the perfect son/daughter.

I think to an extent that this is definately true, but much less so with a 16 year old. The parents are responsible for giving their children that initial behavior, however, there has to be a point at which an individual takes responsibility for himself. This point may not be at 16, but these kids are still able to think independently; they're just not willing to take the jump to maturity (maybe never).

I said children not teenagers. Yes when you grow up you should figure out the way you were raised was wrong and change your behaviour. That part should be obvious. Parents shouldn't cry about TV, movies, games etc.. when they are the ones to blame for not parenting their kids in the first place. So parents are irresponsible it seems for the way their teenagers are spoiled. Whether those teens get a reality check later on in life, that is how they will be sparked to actually change their ways.
