Overview of how my ls does points...

Inactive Members: EQDKP keeps track of 30 day attendance %, if it falls below a certain % members are barred from lotting until they increase attendance.
Dual Box: Dual Box characters earn half points for the event they attend.
Dynamis: Comment 1 AF2. Winner determined by points. Icelands AF2 used to have a restriction that people who had never recieved icelands af had priority over people with some. This was removed once the items became more common.
Limbus: Coins evenly distributed, AF+1 freelot or you can use points to obtain priority, Proto drops based on points.
Normal Drops: Based on points, some items have priorities. ie: Novio BLM priority, Ninurtas SAM priority, etc
Bank: Points can be traded in for AH items. Bank used for medicines/glasses/food/crafting for HQs etc.

Point values are changed every 1-2 months to keep up with rising and falling demand. Example: WAR gear went up in price after everyone started levelling it.

Though I'm sure its just a joke, their rules don't actually give SAM priority on lolsash. The way my LS does it is with points and job tiers, as well as each person having their own set order of their main jobs. In order for someone to lot against someone a tier above them in priority, they need 15% more points per tier.

Example:

Person A: WHM > BLM > BRD
Person B: SMN > RDM > WHM
Person C: BRD > SMN > RDM
Person D: RDM > WAR > BRD

They want an item whose priority is: WHM > BRD

If A and B were interested, B would need 30% more points than A to lot against them (B's WHM needs to be bumped up two tiers to match A). If C was interested as well, he would need only 15% more points than A (BRD is 2nd tier priority, and needs to be bumped up one tier to compete with A).

Now, assume its A vs D. D would not only need to bump up BRD one tier on the item priority, he also needs to bump up BRD two tiers on his own priority to match A. So D would need 45% more points than A to lot against him.


Now...

Ninurta's Sash priority, according to our system, is NIN/WAR > THF/DRK/DRG/SAM/BLU/BST > Rest.

If the sash drops (assuming AV ever pops for us again, he's been in hiding lately), a SAM main would need 15% more points than a NIN or WAR main to be able to lot it. If SAM was their second job, they'd need 30% more points to compete with a main job NIN or WAR. If SAM was their third job, they'd need 45% more points to compete with a main job NIN or WAR.

This is to prevent silly situations like in SeaShell, with a SAM getting lolsash and a WHM getting lolearring, unless they have a lot more points.
