I remember an epic quest to find the holy sewing machine to reattach someone's severed leg. Good times.
Also: I LOL'd at this one.
92. The name of the weapon shop is not "Bloodbath and Beyond"

I don't think you can call anyone a nerd when you play a MMORPG like FF XI or WoW... It's like a kid wearing suspenders telling the other kid with cowboy boots he looks dumb... just doesn't work really.I do, I've been playing DND for about 10 years, and I have a table top game I play every other weekend with 6 other people. So yeah, we're out there. I expect the name calling to come soon, but fuck you.
Except that suspenders are actually cool.Originally Posted by Samu

Wow you guys suck, I like cowboy boots![]()
I'm sorry but I can't think of suspenders as anything but lame with the image of Steve Urkel burned into the back of my mind from watching years of Family Matters.
Among my D&D group one thing you never want to do is misword a wish. If your character ever went far enough where he got his hands on a wish (djinn, spell, or otherwise) if you didn't word that wish perfectly the DM would make you pay for it.
We were all evil bastards, oh you wish for immortal life?, *vampire poofs in* "I can arrange that!"
Oh yes dude! I've heard so many horror stories and experinced them myself, Wish sounds like an awesome spell but it can be a nightmare!
I've heard of people wishing for sandwiches, and the DM steals some sandwich from some level 70 Demon and he comes after the PC's on hellbent revenge for stealing his turkey on rye.
Power to fly, ok here Dwarf, have some fairy wings.
Breathe underwater? Here you go 30 CHR character, i'm sure you'll look good with gills lol...
I tried reading all of it, to no avail.

Only time I think suspenders was cute when I saw this 3 year old wearing rainbow suspenders, bright orange shirt, red pants, flip flops and was crying his eyes out. I wanted to put a lil hat with a pinwheel on top of his head and give him a lollypop to make it perfect. As for cowboy boots... I've been to texas and Alabama on multiple occasions... Cowboy boots are horrible things.
The difference from Table Top RPGs and MMORPGs, is that with one you are with your friends and the other you are alone in your room, probably half nake, I'll let you decide which half.
Have you guys ever seen a porn with a hot chick in cowboy boots? Hell just a hot chick in cowboy boots period. Boots > suspenders. Suspenders are meant to hold pants up, you can wear cowboy boots naked.... therefore boots are better than suspenders.

Roll the die to see if I'm getting drunk!
Just for the record, I hope everyone knows that I roll a fucking mean 20.

Yeah, happens most often in Whitewolf system... Damn you rolling a 1 on a d10!!!!
But for any other system, thats refered to as a critical miss. AKA roling 1 on a d20, especialy on a THACO or other rolls with the same meaning.
The barbarian takes a swing of his huge battleaxe... rolls a d20: 1!
DM: (rolls a few dices for critical miss random effects) Your axe escapes your grip and is sent flying away, in the direction of the mage, and lodges itself in his spinal area.
Sometimes it can get pretty funny. I sill remember the rogue i made one day that he critical missed ALL the time, like 1 in 3 rolls were crit misses, for some pretty awkward situation.
I rolled a character so bad they rescinded the no-rerolls allowed rule because my d20 stats were all single digits, none above 6
