Yeah I do, but still loldrk cause it took 2 fights for 100% tp.
Btw the parses above, I find it amazing that all your melees have 100% melee hit %s. Never seen higher than 98% before.

Most people filter out other people's misses.Originally Posted by superfob
for me the two things that would make up for the ranger changes would be that +rng acc gear actually worked and we didnt miss all the time and if you wouldnt get your aim interrupted so often.
for me it seems like even when i dont move or anything it will give me that annoying message "you move and interrupt your aim" this is always frustrating.
Alot of people say this, I notice the misses on things like Suzy and Byakko but seriously on EXP mobs my accuracy is usually 85%ish using STR food and a STR setup (Pln Body, Rng Necklace, Galliard, Selenes as my only racc)for me the two things that would make up for the ranger changes would be that +rng acc gear actually worked and we didnt miss all the time and if you wouldnt get your aim interrupted so often.
you can see the animation if someone hits or not and use that to have a running tally of tp for other party members.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
of course this was what i did pre-windower pt-tp thing
same thing when you have a nin or /nin tank, you count their shadows without having to have it in the log and know when to flash for help on ichi. (or flash before using cure v because its casting time wasnt fun pre- -cure casting merits and clogs)
EDIT: RNG dmg isnt really bad, its the accuracy that blows as far as im concerned. VS any NM/High level mob i dont mind doing lower dmg but it really pisses me off when i wear a shit load of acc gear and still go 2/10 slug shots (up close btw). i think my record was missing 13 slug shots in dynamis before i hit one. only reason i hit that one was because i wore all acc gear sharpshot and decided to pop a sushi
I remember these parses, at least the first few. Brd singing double-march heavily favors WS-dmg-onry rng, since the sushi war hits for jack shit without the attack to break ule mob defense, while kraken users don't really care about melee damage.Originally Posted by Semitry
yeah, cuz double minuet does nothing for slugshot dmg, and double march does nothing for meleeing wars. Doesn't matter, doule minuet, ridill wars still get beat.Originally Posted by aurik
Nobody said it does nothing, thats a stupid straw man. I said, double march+haste on a kraken so you can throw twice as many WS completely favors ranger damage.Originally Posted by Semitry
It doesn't favor rangers. i'd much rather have double minuet or march/minuet over double march. Double march was only done in the range once because it's safer. The other parses are either double minuet or march/minuet. You know, march + haste on wars, they get twice as many WS and swings in as well if we do, problaby more as double minuet helps KC not hit for 0.Originally Posted by aurik
Minuet ups RAtk as well and 'normal' BRD song usage favors WAR and MNK. Its gonna favor somebody and if nothing else this shows kraken RNG can at LEAST keep up.Originally Posted by aurik
It does favor rangers because ranged pdif function isn't as penalizing for having low attack and under mobs level. Read this: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Level_Corr ... n_and_pDIF . It's also generally much easier to get ratk than atk, meaning the song deficiency is doubly less harsh.Originally Posted by Semitry
Having a single minuet would improve the war's damage a whole lot more than it would the rangers', because it would improve his melee phase quite a bit and his weaponskill phase some, whereas for a ranger, it would only raise the weaponskill phase because lolkraken. The effect of losing a march is less WS, and since the ranger kraken+WS setup is extremely focused on damage dealt during WS, having less WS would penalize the ranger.
ok parse without a BRD and we'll see what happens
Screw that! That'd drop the exp/hour quite a bit. Like i said, we usually go double minuet or march/minuet and it's all the same. At the very least it's even but usually the KC rng comes out ahead.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
I agree it's pointless to parse without a bard. Who cares who does the best damage in a shit party?
What's at issue here is how song choice and other lurking variables can drastically affect parser outcome. For example, double march against high-defense high-level mobs panders to ranged attackers and people who focus on WS phase, of which a one-handing kraken ranger is an extreme example.
Solution: get 2 bards![]()
March helps Warrior and Ranger the same. It just increases their DOT by that %. That's stupid to say haste helps RNG more then Warriors. Minuet, it may not be equal, but March definately helps both the same. So with doulbe march would be the same as partying without a bard just subtract the % double march would give both.Originally Posted by aurik
RNGs would be fixed somewhat if they just let haste affect ranged attacks
Instead they taunt us by making us waste merits for only 6%.
