It already is the top DD dagger, as thf/war I end up pulling hate just TP'ing, yes this is after the ninja uses jin and vokes. Why are you comparing it to a thief's knife? THF knife = TH+1, Mandau = top DD knife. Our job isnt only for Treasure hunter dude, we're the best hate planters in the game since assassin. If you're using your thieves as nothing but TH bitches, it's obvious you/your LS hasnt progressed to see what melee can do in main allies.

The actual relic weapons need some kind of buff period to further distance themselves from their competitors.

The mandau did get buffed. DMG32 > DMG39. It's now the equivelant to a Fudo, with the delay subtly higher than a misericorde +1. I'm a monster now since I geared myself up around the weapon. You're the type of guy who expects them to do 2000 dmg just normally without learning modifiers or anything right?

Staff and Mace seem to be a damn shame... borederline criminal if you ask me on SE's part.

Why? They're the best weapons in their field, Mjollonr changes a whm from a WHM to a melee DD, that is a really powerful club, and they are just lucky PLD cant also equip it because they'd tear them apart.

No, we're not bashing his gear (or lacktherof), we're bashing the fact he got a relic and doesnt even know how to do jack with it. How do I explain it, It's like some dude buys a supercomputer that can hack into any database in the world, and doesnt know how so he just installs the sims and plays that.

Especially when a couple of you do the same thing. Wait til he gets really good WS gear (though sadly I think he has Heca).

4/5 heca and the WS is still mediocre in comparison to other drg WS. Yes I know he was /sam and sushi, reguardless of that he should be getting better numbers.

Well since AGI is supposedly the modifier that kind of gear might help him if he can borrow some just for testing before he buys (or have a BRD etude his ass). Trust me I would like to see this thing work out well, but I have doubts big time. DRG needs something aside from the decent buff they got not too long ago.

Instead of singling out DRG for relic wastefulness you can look at the big picture and see them all as wastes of time and currency. Maybe to different degrees haha.

But they're not? The ones that I see are complete toys : Staff, Club(even though it's awesome, whm just cant DD on anything that matters), Excalibur, and now this lance. Other ones like GK, Scythe, Dagger, Horn and Shield, they've all proven to be awesome. I really dont see you convincing many people that they were crap.

Everything in this game is a waste of time, including you wanting to login to be with your friends, you have no right to judge people who get relics as "suckers". But hey keep living in the world where you think people who dont fit into your viewset are below you.

Eh I said it should be better than both daggers at the same time, not just the best DD dagger but the best for party related situations as well. We use THF in SCs and to plant hate on tanks lmao. Been doing that for a long time. Where did I say THF sucked again? I said the dagger should be even better, the damage portion of it is fine.. the poison is the problem imo. Could replace that with something more useful... like TH or increased enmity on TA.

I wish club was also for PLD, that would be pretty damn sweet. Hell if WHM had more viable situations to actually melee then that would be nice. Sadly they cast too many spells to effectively DD on a end game mob (it isn't as bad as BRD upgrading dagger lol...). They can do some token DDing in KRT until they max out xp/merits thats it. I wish all relic weapons were more awesome and useful for their respective jobs in a party setting. Their damage ranges from great to the best, however some of their additional effects are questionable. If it wasn't for stage 4 to 5 currency they would be perfect, that goes overboard imo and makes it so they rarely justify that kind of expense. Hell it would be fine if the relic WSs were each unquestionably the best in the game.

Ok, I do see what you're saying, it'd be a great idea imo. Some of the relics are being outdated with more and more item updates, hell look at Ragnarok. Yes, you get 20acc, a ws, crit+(10% is what i heard, but i could be wrong), but then you got shit like Subduer 85D 6% crit, Algol 85D....not to mention the modifiers are disgusting. Claustrum is just fail, nothing to BLM or SMN ;/ Adding something like 'hidden' merits that take 10 points, or just a general upgrade update would be great. Of course I'm not suggesting to make them broken, but these weapons were zilart made, 2-3 years ago? ;/

Good god that Maat's cap screenshot is depressing, but we all know that Maat's cap isn't that impressive by the stats. More of a epenis thing saying you are crazy enough to level all the jobs and beat Maat with them. +7 to all stats is not a joke, but there are better alternatives out there for almost every job in every situation lol. Maat knows whats up with Ridill and Kraken Club.... how to rape end game monsters lol. See the breaking the game issue would be fixed with careful balancing and either readjusting mob difficulty.... or creating a new higher tier of monsters that are basically unbeatable without Relic weapons, Ridill, Defending Ring etc. They could even fix RDM subjob at 40 so convert doesn't break the game and gimp it like Meditate is subbed. That would be work though and require thinking outside the box.

I think they'll update relic weapons in the next year or so to allow Relic->Relic or Nonrelic->Relic WS make Cosmic Elucidation. That would be pretty cool, especially if it allowed a 50% damage bonus on bursts.
