Well hello, few things:

1: Eternus' ls is currently making Mjollnir (fairly far along I hear) so this may explain why he's pissed at relics. I myself will be as interested in the hammer stats as I am in any of the others. (perhaps I should try the search function!) Not many relics exist on ifrit, 4 Excals, 1 Aegis, 2 Yoichinoyumi, 1 coronach, 1 gungnir, 1 kikoku, and 1 bravura iirc, all of them japanese. Right now there are 3 na relics close (lv 4ish with extra wrong currency and neither ice item) to completion that I know of, those being Aegis, Mjollnir, and Gjallarhorn.

2: Getting drunk sucks. Throwing up is not as fun as ffxi, how come everyone here who's said to go outside only goes out to get drunk?

1. Yeah I said that in another thread. I bashed Gugnir and other relics in another thread ages ago when Talisin was upgrading GKT lmao. I have NEVER liked relics. It has nothing to do with who is upgrading what either. When people ask me if I ever wanted to upgrade horn I said hell no. When Aalan, my RL friend who I started FFXI with said he would upgrade both bow and gun I laughed in his face.

2. I haven't blacked out or thrown up from drinking in over 7 years. I do have fun and moderate somewhat. Seem to know where the line is and I don't cross it anymore even if it means just getting a buzz. The part that is fun about going out drinking is the social aspect with people in real life.

3. Wafik is damn funny and is on the boards enough to be an effective moderator. I don't know if moderators get me hot though.

4. Hopefully he will test the WS more with a BRD and maybe a COR. Someone hook the guy up with some fucking etudes.

I'm going to guess Kain is pissed, and isn't coming back. I really wish they would post the mods, I don't trust the jp site at all, they've been proven to be so incredibly far off on more than one weaponskill.

In any case, boosting a mod other than STR while it helps, is not the same as boosting STR. When Wafic found out that Mercy was a str mod and started boosting str, it blew up but thats for a combined reason, because all of a sudden he was loading up on the WS's mod AND the STR check (pSTR?). Thf has the ability to benifit from agi or dex mods, but aside from thf, if it's not a STR mod your not going to blow it up like Wafic did when he found Mercy's mod.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, has some potental, but not a ludicris amount, more than the mod, /thf, /war and/or meat will be what really boosts this WS to it's true potential.

People get drunk specifically for the reason to have fun. The fun part is not throwing up, but the fun part is playing Circle of Death or Fuck the Dealer while getting increasingly intoxicated, and as the time goes on it gets more fun. The fun part of getting drunk is just letting yourself go and being stupidly funny

Even if you don't ingest enough of it to make you start throwing up, I'm guessing you do drink enough of it to make you start acting like a fucking retard.

I tried not to be offtopic, but my opinion on drinking (heavily) is that is just stupid, but I'm not going to yell at people for doing it. The only reason I drink(better said, the few times I drink) is because my friends are doing it and I don't want them to feel like they are making me feel uncomfortable, I don't go out of my to get drunk or even close. I'm pretty much the clown of my best-friends, but I've never in my life found a drunk person funny. In fact, it makes me mad whenever I see people shitfaced thinking they are being funny. To me, I don't see how thats different than shitting yourself and running around telling everyone how glorious it is. That's not creative or anything to be proud of. You don't spend time thinking about it or anything. I guess my opinion doesn't mean a lot, because I don't really go to parties nor can I relate to my generation's culture. I'm a huge geek about YTMND, 4chan, and videogames, but I can't watch MTV for 1 minute, it makes me sick. Anyway, I've always thought drinking is simply an ice-breaker, something worthless people brag about, and an easy way for emos to escape life's tough problems(OMG, HOMEWORK AND RELATIONSHIPS), at least for younger folk. As you may have noticed, I pretty much hate how people in my age group think, and drinking plays a big part in that.

PS. I think we/mods should probably restrict trolling of a relic thread. Complaining about poor tests is alright, but this thread was being flooded on people who were saying how much DRGs suck, relic sucks, and/or how it was a waste time. If people did something like this to the BLU thread, I'm sure more action would have been taken. This thread had potential to be useful.

I'd probly just buff attack, with a secondary on agi. unless it's a str mod, it's just not worth losing attack over, IMO.
