Because its another thing to max out instead of just STR like it is for most WSes, difference can be good.
Except there isn't gear that supports mods like AGI/INT on Scythe or MND/CHR on Gsword for those jobs, whereas they can pound on STR, which also effects ws's greatly because of fSTR.

It's another example of SE going "Look, different stuff to do!" and it failing horribly.
Theres decent AGI gear for DRG and decent INT gear for DRK. The gear is just overlooked because its otherwise shitty.

Someone just inherited a shit load of currency!
No, I had just over 2k bynes from purchase/sponsorship before. I traded with an LS mate 916 Bynes for 916 shells. So my next 916 Shells/Bronze will be traded back to him for my Bynes (he's doing katana). LS leader wouldn't agree to attempt attestation until I had all my currency, so I had to look for the trade. Hoping to go on a run next Tuesday. But LS is still probably too weak for a fragment run, so I'm not blowing all my gil just yet XD

As we found out tonight, easiest way to kill animated weapons is bring 2 kraken drks. The shield died in about 30 seconds, before some people could even engage. Dagger died in about a minute, with nobody having 2 hours. Pay Kraken DRKs to help you and you can do it with 30 people lol.

One LS drk recently sold his kraken but said he'd get it back in a bit.

Our main nin tank has a kraken too, hopefully he'll lend it to another drk for the attempt. I think I have nice enough friends they'd lend me more currency to let me finish Mandau early if I got fragment... <.<

The problem with mods outside STR, is how short-sighted SE is with their formulas. They needed to make those stats really matter. Even replacing fSTR with that stat could be considered a better idea than how it is now.

You'd think the evasion down additional on bravura would be pretty useful too, but I don't see anyone singing its praises.

STR mod contributes to fSTR, pDIF, and mod, while agil just contributes to mod. If your using a 2h weapon you are more than likely unable to max out fSTR on anything worth fighting which makes a STR mod excellent.

DEX mod isn't so hot but at least it contributes to ACC and crit. Agil mod contribues nothing but robs your WS of STR and other attributes that are in much greater need.

When was the last time you saw an older man with a bread play a major role in any FF?
    FF4: Tellah, Cid, FuSoYa
    FF5: Galuf, Cid

That's about it for older men with beards.

..and yes, I did quote the first page of an 8 page topic.

I don't think Deeds has really parsed anything yet, or anyone else in the ls in an exp party or anything. He's playing with it still, we've been busy with events, so we're working on something.

For the 15 mins or so once he got it and the pots we were fighting, (they checked Tough for anyone wondering) the defense down effect seemed to go off about 1/5 hits or so, his base dmg was 100-130ish, with the ridiculous critical hits doing 450+. Geirskogul wasn't holy shit impressive in dmg, around 500-700ish, but he was /SAM, so we're unsure of /THF, /WAR, etc.

As for hidden mods, need to check with him, hopefully he'll have some info by the weekend at the latest.

Geirskogul isn't gonna beat Penta Thrust in meripo but it might have potential to be better than Wheeling Thrust on harder stuff, if it's not better than Wheeling Thrust then loldrg, waste of time.

Why can't you understand that some people actually earn their relics, rather than buying a character with 100GS to earn the relic for them? I'd rather have a completely worthless piece of shit weapon that I earned myself, rather than a ZOMGAWSOME relic that you basically bought. Fucking retard.
