I think that if you have a problem with the way SE runs their game you should stop playing it. I think ppl passing off an addiction as a fun game allows SE to continue to make FFXI as sh*tty as it is. And to those who talked about how SE is losing money... they are not some poor ass upstart company. FFXII drops next month too... so I doubt they give a damn about 1,400 accounts. I think SE gave up on FFXI honestly. They don't give a sh*t so do yourself a favor try something new out.

It's real hard to get out of the fake world, but once you do you will be very happy that you don't have to worry about SE banning ppl over a game that is designed so poorly that it makes people use 3rd party tools just for logical functionality in the first place.

One of my friends is very much the person that would go to McDonalds to tell them she didn't like the BigMac, rather than just dropping it, moving on and going to Wendy's which if I wasn't vegetarian trumps all fast food chain burgers (at least in MN)

If enough people said they didn't like the special sauce McDonalds management would listen. "We really love your food McDonalds. Almost everything is 10x better than Burger King. If you could just change the special sauce (which no one likes) we'd always eat here. Forever!"

If it started costing them enough buisness you can bet they'd make a change to the special sauce recipe. Or start using something completely different. Especially if the majority of the complainers were long time regular cusstomers that ate at McDonalds 10+ times a week.

SE, on the other hand, adds more special sauce to the Big Mac....and stats putting it on the Quarter Pounder too. When people complain they aren't sure what you're taking about but promise to look in to it.
