Probably a bit too early to be sure of anything, but I just searched for about 50 of Carbuncle's RMTs, and found almost none. The T*nking group wasn't on, there were 0 RMT in sky, the new Dou**** group wasn't on, and 20-30 random RMT from the list in the Carbuncle forums on KI were just suddenly not on. I don't recognize a single name of the people in sky as RMT (though there are alot of JP up there at this hour doing gods or whatever, but afaik, none of them were known RMT).

The ones most notably gone where the sky RMT. The few I did find were the ones that don't do sky as far as I know. (SSG RMT were in full force, and a few running around Fei Yin)

The sky group was missing the day of the last mass bannings, but reappeared the next day. No high hopes yet =(

This account suspension is bullshit, today a ranger in my shell got his account suspended for no reason with no warning for using vulgar language or rude or something in an EXP party as of last night. I'm seriously beginning to get very fed up with the banning/suspension of legit players while the RMT are still running rampant. Gotta see what the deal is with the ranger in my shell... 100Fishing and woodworking, and tons and tons of merits /sigh.

Your wrong. On their side a lag spike [HI2UDIALUPLAWL] can be seen as a flag break, and thusly your account can and more then likly will be banned depending on how bad your spike was, I personaly have lagged half way accross a zone[<3 Whitegate :D]

As far as money lost for 1,400 players is concerned, let's assume that everyone is being charged $12.95 a month, since some players have more accounts around $17-$18 a month, and the X-Box accounts are $7.49 a month.

According to ffxiah.com, there are 622,114 known players.

(622,114)*12.95=8,056,376.3 a month.
(1,400)*12.95=18,130 a month.

They lost 0.0225% of their revenue from monthy fees, assuming all accounts were terminated.

I get this feeling it wasn't about profit losses so much as publicity. But I'll wait a couple of days and see if the RMT armies are back on Carbuncle.

edit- Last time they did a banning like this, you could do a search in Bastok and Gustaberg and there were something like 300 people with "Adghdh" or generated names in those zones. I didn't know Bastok was the new Aht Urghan after a mass banning.
