When I registered a mule with my 360 account they said the first month is free, and then it will be an additional $7.49 a month after the first month. And they have billed me $7.49 since then, and $.50 for every additional character.

While I pay $12.95+$1 for my main character. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Your wrong. On their side a lag spike [HI2UDIALUPLAWL] can be seen as a flag break, and thusly your account can and more then likly will be banned depending on how bad your spike was, I personaly have lagged half way accross a zone[<3 Whitegate :D]
and since you did not get banned (amirite?) i suppose SE has a way to tell the difference

note that they did mention the people banned "intentionally" used third party tools

seriously, why would they ban people for no reason? every paying player is their bread and butter (rice and soy sauce in their case >.>)

Wouldn't that be 622,114 characters, not players? Divide that by the average number of mules.... but the % is still pretty small, you are correct.

Can you login to the 360 account using a PC? I just don't understand why Content IDs would be cheaper just for using the XBox version.

you are stupid. While gil sellers are a big nuisance to us, the ones that do not hack don't do anything against the ToS. The mule who actually hold the gil and send it to other players is what violates the ToS. And last time they did this, everyone who was banned was using hacks and just lying... so don't pull that thf crap. If you all want to get rid of gil sellers then make everyone stop buying gil

I did'nt get banned, your correct, but that doesnt mean it doesnt happan. It would be abnomraly hard to tell the difference between a lag spike and a pos hack. I garentee you a handfull of true players were banned for a flee drink, or running thru the pond, or becasue of lag.

When you lag [or POS] at a certin speed or distance you will break zone flags. When a zone flag is broken you will be put on a watch list for the GMs. Do this 5 times[lets say, I dont know the acuall number] in a hour they will automaticly assume you are POS hacking, or something of the sort, which will result in your banning.

Sormo's right. As I said the last time they did this, this is nothing more than a scare tactic. The people that scream ZOMG THEIR OPERATING EXPENSES WILL CRIPPLE THEM AAAAAAHHHHHH MARTHA STEWART AAAAH are rather daft. FFXI isn't an island to itself; it has the rest of SE's money to back it up. If they make a little less money from this, I'm sure they'll survive.[/url]

Why have I seen like 3 or 4 posts here declaring that everybody who was banned last time was hacking or lying about it? Where the fuck was that determined? Or does hindsight offer you the privelidge of making stuff up to go along with your stories? Jesus christ I see people here acting as though SE has never done anything wrong, anybody who got banned deserved to be banned and RMT are just dedicated players. Last time this happened, many of the people banned were completely innocent. Fact.

And before anybody has a go at me, I would not contest my banning if it weren't for the fact that other known RMTers, botters (lol Unreal LS) etc. are left in the game. I don't like to be singled out.

    +12 pages.

On another note tho, ½ is right. This wasnt said by anyone, people are pulling shit out their asses. Not everyone who gets banned is using 3d party tools.

    Your analogy fails. More like:
I'm arrested for punching a man, when that man over there commited mass genocide.

I'd love to see what their investigative process is like for this shit. They say they ban hackers, yet people who I've personally watched fleetool and warp across rooms or entire zones repeatedly (sup Uleg and Attowha) were sitting in DA today, waiting to snag Nid off the pathetic joke that is JP end-game players on Fairy.

If they're banning hackers, why are the most blatant hackers still around? ijdk.

Gil farmers are paid in real money to farm fake money for a company that sells it at a mark up to players. Sounds like the farmers are violating the ToS to me.

I know that, but the player that sits up in ulli room all day isn't necessarily doing anything wrong. The mule that keeps all the gil and sends it to you or w/e is the one that is doing something wrong.. and didn't they say they banned like hundreds of billions of accounts that had gil on them awhile ago?

    Maybe its a cultural difference.

I used to play on a softball team with some people at church and we would play other teams.. all very amature and we had a lot of fun.

If someone decided to bring in a professional player and pay them money to play on their team so they could win games.. nothing but common sense would be needed to ban that player and team from our league.

We're not professional gamers, we don't get paid to play this game and we just do it in our spare time. If someone is going to play 24/7 like they are getting paid to play it makes common sense to us that the person needs to go.

They are doing something wrong when they are getting real money to sit in the Ulli room. Trace the money that the mule giving the gil to the players, hey look, it's from the mule sitting in the Ulli room! Jinkies Scooby, I just solved the mystery!

It does not matter how many times they ban the banks, gil farmers are ruining end-game and Square does not give a crap. People may be too addicted to FFXI to quit because of their buffoonery, but the next MMO that Square makes people are going to remember how Square royally screwed up this game.

pretty much feel the same way. I'm addicted to this game for now, but the treatment I've received from Sony and all the people they outsource to has made me think twice about picking anything up with a sony name on it when it comes to games.

Like the last posers were saying people may not quit over the royal screw ups SE does now, although some do. And people may not want to switch to WoW right now because of all the time & effort they have put into FFXI.

But sooner or later FFXI is going to be at the end of its lifespan & new good MMORPG's will be coming out and people aren't going to say, "Holy shit, SE did such an amazing job on FFXI I want to go to an other one of theirs." It's just going to look like a big blotch on their record because of how poorly they developed many aspects of the game & their horrific record at fixing everything from end-game content to gilsellers.
