No no, I just bet I was because I came back, would be my luck. I'm stuck at work for an hour, when I get home, hopefully I won't be.

While I pay $12.95+$1 for my main character. Makes sense, doesn't it?
Can you login to the 360 account using a PC? I just don't understand why Content IDs would be cheaper just for using the XBox version.
I honestly havn't tried using the 360 account on the PC since it was just to cast Mazurka on the mules to get them to Jeuno easier, but after my class I'll let you know.

I see no reason why it wouldn't let you, since FFXI for the 360 still uses PlayOnline, and even if you get disconnected from XBox Live, you can still access PlayOnline accounts. Like I said, I'll try when I get home and let you know, but I thought it was common knowlege that the Xbox Accounts were $7.49.

edit- It may be that they just lowered their price for ID actvation across the board, I tried looking on PlayOnline's website, but couldn't find any indication of a lowered rate. Like I said, I'll check when I get back home.

It's sad we know our POL ID's by heart.

I sometimes struggle remembering my own cell phone number, but POL ID? Memorized!

I might be banned. O_O That website's login form says my info is incorrect even though I typed it carefully in.

lol @ the people saying "I KNOW my friend didn't use any third-party tools!!!"

The fact is, you DON'T know, and like someone said earlier, even though SE really sucks sometimes (all the time), I doubt they'd ban people for absolutely no reason.

LOL it is totally weird, when I was coming back I searched all over for my POL ID, couldn't find it, so I thought hmmm, maybe this is it, and got it the first try.

Gotta see what the deal is with the ranger in my shell... 100Fishing and woodworking, and tons and tons of merits /sigh.
That's happened since the first day of NA release. People do stupid things, and the GM's have to deal with the minor and the major shit. It's their job. The more little things people do, the less time the GM's have for the real stuff.

Don't want a 3-day break? Play nice. Want to say cocknugget-sucking fagfucking worthless PT member? Do it on the boards, not in the game. Some people have thin skins and you get screwed for it.

Hell, I got a GM visit at one point because someone who didn't understand English well was sent a tell for "You kicked ass on that NM" and thought I was bitching at him for getting the claim! (One look at the chat log and we both were laughing about it, though- so it was cool.)

Jesus christ I see people here acting as though SE has never done anything wrong, anybody who got banned deserved to be banned and RMT are just dedicated players. Last time this happened, many of the people banned were completely innocent. Fact.

And before anybody has a go at me, I would not contest my banning if it weren't for the fact that other known RMTers, botters (lol Unreal LS) etc. are left in the game. I don't like to be singled out.
Name me a few innocent lambs that got turned into chops, please. The last one I talked to did the stupid thing of letting someone else log in with his character who DID have a few "extras" (fleehack) on it so he could get the guy to the LS for an HNM pop. It got flagged, and the guy lost his character and mule in the process. Which sucks.

You use a program the GM's consider illegal once, they can ban you. At any time. Boom. Gone. Now. Later. Whenever. If they feel like upgrading a suspension to a ban, it can be done at any time. You did. They banned you. They banned your other characters, because the ban's on the player if they can trace it to them. Frankly, it sucks to be you and lose all that stuff, and I feel sorry it happened.

And the RMT'ers are learning, too. Fleehacking at speeds that can be explained by gear (12% runspeed boosts). I'd bet somewhere they've figured a way to flag-and-track GM's for good measure.

Personally, I'd like to see "plainclothes" GM's running around on servers. That ordinary guy that looks like he's camping Ulli, waiting for an HNM window, etc. is a GM watching for trouble. More of the big botters/cheaters might get caught with their pants down that way.

Gil farmers are paid in real money to farm fake money for a company that sells it at a mark up to players. Sounds like the farmers are violating the ToS to me.
Farming gil =! breaking TOS. Gil being transferred to someone for real money = breaking TOS. So the farmers don't get banned unless they do something else- hacking, namely.

It's like busting someone for cashing their paycheck because you think they're going to use it to buy crack.

We will continue to take strict actions against those individuals that we have confirmed to have used such tools.
Its like, everytime joecheater runs faster, a RMT is born out of the sin of cheating.

I just wanna get like a big foam bat and go to SE and hit them all over the head, dont wanna hurt them, but it should be just enough to knock what little brains they have out of their head
Let me explain for those who apparently don't get what they're talking about. You know the threads that pop up from time to time where someone crys about how their account got hacked and someones stole all their stuff? Where do you suppose that stuff goes?

Well sometimes it was someone they trusted with their info that ganked stuff off their account. But often you see the people saying "I didn't give my info to anyone." Those people probably have had their accounts hacked because they downloaded some third party tool that had a key logger in it.

It's a good bet that a lot of the gil from people stealing items off accounts like that ends up being RMT'ed. It's also a good bet that SE has to listen to people calling them up endlessly complaining about how someone stole stuff off their account etc etc etc... So SE is in a position to see all of this and has a much better handle of how many 3rd party tools with key loggers are floating around out there.

So no it isn't everytime you flee it helps the gil sellers. It's everytime you download and install a 3rd party tool you're risking your items to a possible key logger. And on top of that now you're risking your account to the ban stick.

    Do you get it now?

Farming gil != breaking ToS. However, these farmers are being paid IRL to give up their portion of the loot. They're being paid real money in return for fake money. As soon as they get compensated IRL for the loots that they helped farm, they are breaking ToS.

I remember Grunion got banned last time. And a picture of him pos hacking just surfaced a bit ago. I honestly believe at least 90% people are flee/pos haxing, at least. I wonder any of the people who knew everything there is to know about pos haxing the Tiamat thread got banned.

Lol yup. Being "compensated for their time" is against the ToS. The language of the ToS specifically prohibits people making a living off playing the game.
