My girlfriend is a huge Bukowski fan and was reading an article on Matt Dillon in the Rolling Stone. Apparently he played Charles in one of his novels, Factotum. It's been out in the UK for a year or so and is apparently making it's way to the US.

He's a good actor, but if you're a fan, he doesn't look the part. My suggestions: Jack Nicholson or Sean Connery.

I'm a huge Bukowski fan and i think Nicholson would be good for it, especially since now he just looks like a fat drug addict/alcoholic.
