Ya ya, true enough. Blowing up vanadiel is all the rage rlly, passe at this point mehbe darling. I'm thinking that the AA zilart Taru has to be FFXI's best villain. Simply by being a floating taru he transcends from being a typical cliche type enemy to some kind of Chucky-esque terrifying perversion of nature.

Edit: oh and Kefkas backstory is that he was born an asshole, later in the game he develops into some type of super-demi god asshole.

Actually he does have a fair amount of development. When you first see him he is pretty much a bumbling buffoon who looked like his only purpose was comic relief. (Mind you, in a very dark humor sense of the term.) Halfway through the game his character becomes progressively more cruel and sadistic, ultimately achieving his dark ambitions by doing what no other villain ever managed to do in a video game- effectively destroying the world.

Could have been interesting finding out more about him in the game, especially since FF6 was all about the character developement and backstories. I'll look forward to it when SE releases FFVI-2 for PS3 sometime in 2008. Incedently Disney will release "Brother Bear 3" this same week which leads to the universe imploding.

How come he didnt put any of the Ruby/emerald/sapphire weapon in hardest mobs? Hell, Ultima weapons was like bring 5 holy wars, do all the limits (Cough Lionheart ownage cough) and repeat till he';s dead. Ruby weapon came in and sandstorm'd one of ur guys, if it was cloud you were screwed

What? Ultima Weapon has always been easy, Emerald was the only true hard boss in 7, maybe you mixed up Ultima Weapon for Omega Weapon in 8 (which was the only hard boss in that game).

I've beat him 3 times, 0 losses. The 1st one I just did the quest to bring him close but was unprepared and won anyways. 2nd and 3rd time it was just the hard version. He was so easy.

You got lucky, 2 bad moves in a row and you're fucked no matter what. Sometimes he's in easy-retard mode other times he's in gonnarapeyounow mode.

lol yea I could not get past the first part of that game it was so bad imo.
8 I think is the worst, that story was just so bad, and had no depth, it was just Squall whining, though "Maybe I'm a Lion" is a bad ass song. Also the 1 cool part of that game was like the 3 or 4 straight boss fights at the end.
With that said, the best song in FF History, was "Vamo Alla Flamenco" from FF9.

I read through the jist of that. man, it sounds like quite the challenge.

But Ozma was easy in a normal game. Just equip gear that blocks Dark-type magic damage to avoid Doomsday and the rest is easily tolerable. Meteor doesn't always wipe you out and it's easy to recover from it if you're a decent player.
