Mamool Ja Training Grounds is the Devil

Which assaul tmission would you reccomend for a team of 3 to grind?
I have BLM, RDM, SMN, and BRD, and the other two have RDM or WAR, and BLM or SMN.

Double Agent is frustrating, because it honestly seems random. There's no logic to it.

Imperial Agent rescue is frustrating. When it does throw the weapon, it usually misses the gate.

Breaking Morale seems to be the best choice, but it dosen't return very many points on a good run.

Breaking Morale gives 1k for 4 ppl for turning in 6 boxes.

its really easy when you think to bring a whm with AF2 body or a brd with paeon+2 instrument and /thf....doesnt even need wyrmal legs and mazurka.

3 ppl, all 7 boxes is a lot of points. With tag i think its 1396 or something close to that

Just have everyone in your group go as a mage job. Stoneskin and regen yourself before you drink the liquid and you can make it to any box easily

I didn't like the crate mission at all. My group did Double Agent over and over again to get everyone 20k points for this area. With 3 people it's a consistent 1200 for getting the spy first try, with 66 points taken off for each unsuccessful guess. We had something like a 90% success rate with getting the full 1200.

The trick was to find a JarJarBinks rat who would either give the distance to the spy in yalms (windower distance units), or say a direction other than "somewhere to the east", or even just say "really far" to "really really close". Once you got the general area or group of 4 the spy could be in, you could narrow it down further by paying strict attention to the yalms guy and all the rats' movement, or keep talking to the direction guy and see which rat makes it change.

There were many exceptions though. Once, the spy was a rat that always said "south and east". Another time the spy kept changing the direction every time you talked to it. Another time the spy was the yalms rat, who gave random distances every time. And more than a few times, the spy would be in a group of 4 who would tell you nothing, so you'd have to rely on other rats nearby to try to narrow it down, or just cap them all ~_~.

But other than those exceptions, remember that the mission is 30 minutes long - more than enough time to wait for movement to narrow down the specific agent, and all 3 people need to be able to either solo puks or sleep2 them.

We did the spy one last week, we have 5 different rats tell us that the spy was to the east. We could not find him there, out of desperation we started talking to all of the rats. It turns out that he was all the way to the north west, so it seems that non-spies will lie to you also.

P.S. Mamool Ja Training Grounds is the devil.

There are 8, and my static was able to trio it getting 7 or 8 boxes every time. 1333 points for all 8, 1266 for 7. Our best time was 12 minutes.

The boxes are at fixed locations, which makes it really easy. We went as brd/whm blm/nin rdm/thf. Double paeon = -3/tic for the poison, enough for my blm to make it to any box without stoneskin.

Edit: you can also carry multiple items at the same time. Save yourself a trip, and get the close boxes on the way back from a far box.

I know of 6 boxes, my last run with 3 we got 7, but I don't know where the 7th came from specifically on the map.

Since they are static, has a map been posted yet with all 8 positions? (cause I haven't seen it).

I just got my Pln. Seraweels last night. Some points during the progression to C rank, the rest are from Breaking Morale.

Preemptive Strike can be done quite easily with an above average Rdm, just keep the Mamool Ja silenced and it's a cake walk.

I've been trio'ing Preemptive Strike as BRD, RDM, NIN... semi-successfully. If you aggro a puk or two, it could comprimise the mission because you really stretch 1 melee thin trying to kill all of them in 30 minutes. I think from now on we're not going to drop down to pull, going to treat it more like an exp pt and pull as much as I can while moving the nin and rdm as little as possible, having next mob ready and slept when the nin finishes off the current. You can make about 3-4 pulls just from the starting tunnel. From there, it might get tricky, I'm not sure how easy, or if, the puks can aggro from underneath, but using the bridges to get around to all the pops and just pull them up. Puks are easy, but just a waste of time. Then again, I've only really done this one about 4 times total.

Here's my guesstimate map. I never had the job to get the farthest one (that was the rdm/thf's job; stoneskin + flee goes a long way.

I always get the far one. I slap on stoneskin, regen, flee, hit the costume, then run as fast as I can. I generally get there with 600 HP depending on obsticals. Without flee I get there with 300-ish HP. Easy for a Hume RDM/THF with 3/5 crimson, a Taru wouldn't survive without a lot of +HP gear.

EDIT- Mammol Ja Training Grounds is still the devil.

Does movement speed+ gear work while wearing those costumes? To me, with gaiters, it *feels* like I'm going at regular speed, but I can't tell if that's because there really is a difference, or if it just seems that way because the model is bigger (like how it always feels like I'm running unusually fast on my taru mule).

Anyhow, we almost always get 8/8 of the supplies. For me personally, my typical plan is to get caught right away, then after leaving the prison get the package on the 2nd island, drop down and get the one hugging the south side of that tree trunk, and then hit the one on the ramp to the west of the NPC's entrance before going to the NPC. Takes about 4-5 min, and by that time, the other 2 are bringing in their first packages, so we have only to get the last 3, and around 10 min to do it.

We always did: rdm/thf gets caught. He disguises up and goes for the farthest chest.

I go for the southmost chest, and pick up the tree chest on the way back. If it's blocked, we just leave it for later. If I get pushed to the ramp, I go get the easy East chest on my way.

Bard gets caught, paeon's up, and goes for the eastern "must drop" chest.

Next, we all get caught, get double-paeon. I go for the western "must drop" chest (/nin stealth is godsend for getting back with that one) while the rdm and bard get the center platform chests, grabbing the tree chest on the way back if it hasn't been snagged yet.

We're finished with the zone now; I think we were like 10-for-12 getting all 8 chests. If we're going to miss one, it's when we get caught repeatedly returning the far-west "must drop" chest.

For Preemptive Strike I have been going DRG/WHM, MNK/NIN and either WAR/NIN or a RDM, just pull from the cliffs/bridge and don't fall until you have to cross over for the Mamool on other side, never lost or came close to running out of time. Slowest run we had was with the RDM as 3rd and we still popped the box about 30 seconds after the 5 min warning.

There's a coffer over at (G-7) in the small room and i know you will need at least 1300 HP to get there with just crimson legs.
