Well, 2 of the pieces are relatively worthless, and the other three are only marginally useful, but it's a pretty fun & challenging fight and the gear dropped DOES have some pretty good uses. Why say this?

Nashira seraweels toss a lot of INT/MND for skill, but for landing on high-end (Baha2, Ultima itself, Cerb) it's useful.

Crackows have the ele skill.

Gages are good for SMN, not overly great but useful.

Your BLMs must not do Bahamut 2. Crackows are godly for less resist while still keeping your Zenith Mitts or Sorc. Tonban if the day is right equipped.

Considering his shell seems to be much like mine, a late night(for continental NA's) put together of pretty much anyone who might be on(although I remember something about Chinese), I'd say that's a fairly good assumption.

Even still, its a very good piece for BLMs, I'd hardly call them useless or not worth doing Ultima for.

Can't believe you'd say something like that. In a world where the latest and greatest gear is normally akin to things that give magic attack bonus to DRK/PLD or a shuriken with 10 ranged attack that drops one at a time from ISNM, you learn to be thankful for somewhat useful things. 3 out of 5 isn't bad, and a case can even be made for the body as there are no pieces that give dark magic on the body for black mage. The crackows, serawheels and gages are all somewhat useful for their respective classes.
