Well you don't "need".. but it seems they were going the heavy BLM route, which is why I was asking. I don't think every LS can pull out 10+ for that BC99. There's supposedly a more organized, less zerg, fewer BLM approach that works reliably, but I've never tried it myself.

I think it was more around 5 BLMs and 2 Distortion or Darkness SC combos. Each BLM nukes together with a Blizzard IV to force him in, then as soon as he goes in, they SC and all MB with Blizzaga III and he'll come back out, and stay out if he doesn't receive another respectable portion of damage. BLMs rest and melee re-tp and repeat.

Not that I have noticed. I've kept him silenced during our last few runs and it doesn't seem very different from not silenced. He can poke his head out of his shell and cast spells while regening.

36 People came out to do this. we RAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPED it hardcore. All I remember is voke, invincible, follow it, use all JAs, look at the sword, look at the log, see "warp" look at the 6% HP, hit my Flat Blade, and it doesnt go off b/c its dead. I think the fight lasted about 10 seconds and a lot of us still had our TP or hadnt used the wings.

When this is done this will be the first NA relic on Sylph. I wanted to fix that. So after my own I am giving the refund to my LS bank and we are going to work on another relic. What ive been doing is collecting money and i acutally have about 8000 sanD and 200ish mixed bag winD/bastok. As soon as i get 10k total D-money I will find someone with sanD to loan, complete my relic, pay back the guy and give 30 total 100 bills to our bank. We have a number of prospects working on relic but the farthest ones along so far are shield, horn and a katana.

Backstory: LS claims with less than optimal people, 2 WAR tanking + BLM (who ended up being face down the majority of the fight) for damage. About 25 minutes in they get another WAR, 45 minutes in a pair of thieves and 3 more BLM. Anyways the end up wiping right before the 60 minute mark due to spammage of wing as they try to recover, wake up wing. My LS gracefully dia's a Darter a few minutes before the wipe, chaos ensues, we end up escaping or face an impending wipe to darters + wings. Another shell in the pit claims, but it's too late, Hogg zerks and slowly wittles them down. JP LS claims at about 10% with it still zerked, and ES nuke it down to 1%. Then Hogg flails >.>;. I pulled with mijin for lack of a better pull on NIN/BRD, and luckily did not kill it white.
