Yeah, I have +movement - though I think it might be possible without, if you use a hermes quencher/powder boots when you pop it.

It's very easy to get a decent distance away from Ix' in the ebon panel room if you take shortcuts through the central bit, and take advantage of its not-so-great pathing.

I trio it w/ 2 friends (rdm + blm, me on blm), I'm usually the popper and I zone the mobs at the teleporter, while one of the other 2 get ix off me. every time I hit the porter, theres a bunch of aerns on my ass.

Think he did single pop, the Qn won't depop, but you can sac em away or zone em and yea Spoooky 2 BLM/RDM should be able to do it with Gaiters if RDM can solo hehe.

yeah, I know qn's wont depop, its kinda annoying to split em up because pathing up there is kinda weird. but he said eo's were depopping and its never happened.

Yea I dunno, everything is weird since SE made that patch that made mobs depop if you lose hate when they are outside of original spawn area so yea, I hate that patch, mobs can depop when I'm exping on em, very annoying.

You can do it with two BLM/RDMs without any movement speed items. I've done it many times. Yes, gaiters make it easier as the linked aerns do depop if you outrun them before you get to the ebon panel room, but it's far from a necessity. You can still depop them. So to answer Spooky's question, yep!

Ok, ever since I was a 65 RDM, I'd always fight Sea Horror on the boat. According to just about every FFXI resource on the web, it's supposed to be able to drop Monsoon Kyahan. Yea the item sucks, but it's the principle of the thing. I want that drop. Has anyone ever got it to drop?

No I don't camp it exclusively, I always kill it when camping Blackbeard/Silverhook...
