Fuck all your torques... Being one of the first NA shells to farm Sea on Fenrir, we're sitting at I tghink maybe 3 Faith torques, 1 quit. 2 Prudence, 1 quit, 1 perma-banned (Along with a hope torque...) Way too many Temp torques. No Fortitude torques. 1 Hope Torque, 1 Love torque. 2 Justice Torques.

This is in multiple weekly farm sessions for well over a year. With Th3-4 for alot of kills.

Torques seem to be about 1/5 drop rate for us, I don't understand how you could have so little after a year... NO fort torques? >.>

2/3 Wins 2/2 Drop 1st lose was due to taking it down too fast then it started to fly and blms not having enough mp to make it land quick enough.(both were nonmanaburned)

The 3rd fight was more around 10 mins waited close to 3-4 mins for someone to come back from dc when we entered. yeah 2/2 on beard has to be really lucky.

Out of 69 JoForts, we've gotten 33 Virtues and 14 Torques, that's meeting twice a week for a little over year so I dunno what you're doing wrong Maybe try killing while facing SW on Watersday with 36% moon.

And you realize if your blms are outta mp, you can just take your entire alliance minus the tank to the hallway and rest there?? That's some messed up luck on beards, we went 2/18 a few months back.

Well yeah if we had proper mp refresh wouldn't have been a problem but 2 rdms and a brd isnt proper refresh for 17 people.

PLD nonfire resist doesn't = Ninja wearing full fire resist. We also gave our melee pt rdm + whm and blms no refresh. So as easy as it sounds just leave a tank out there while everyone rests if your not using a fire resist makes it a little more complecated. We used 3x PLD as tanks due to allow everyone to come that wanted to come just so happened we had 17 1st run and 18 for the other 2 runs.

The 3rd PLD was a waste & sure this fight could be solo tanked fairly easy or even PLD/WAR tanked. This fight is a major joke when it's on the ground 3 people could hold it forever I am sure. The air is only challenge but with about 5 blms it's np to quickly take down from air. Our problem was 1st attempt our blms held back to much / ran out of mp.

Was like this: 100 --> fly very quickly --> was taken a lot slower / blms started to run out of mp. --> lands but our 3rd tank just died and we had no tank up so we were forced to wipe since no /nin jobs(can't sleep).

The key to this fight is take it slow @ start >> when it flies go all out without 2 hours and curgas/stoneskin after each flame blast >> lands just finish it np. Once you have that down pretty easy fight.

I beg to seriously differ, on my PLD I have 176 barfire before carol or Barfira spell. Something that a lot of people don't realize is yes, NINs get Suzaku's Sune-Ate, but PLD gets hrotti/num shield+1, crimson cuisses, cerberus bow, and Assault Breastplate (yes, very rare I'm missing that piece) This reduces Tiamat breath attacks down to 3 dmg per hit.

I didn't say it couldn't be done I said nonfire resist PLD doesn't = Fire resist nin. Mashu wears a fire resist setup on nin.

I personally don't like resist setups for PLD cure potency / magic damage taken - I like though. I was wearing bomb queen ring tanking wyrm. I was using Cure potency +15% + -9% magic damage taken. The biggest thing imo is getting shell4/5 on whole ally including blms.

Oh ok, I misunderstood you then. I know Krandor and I have debated about PLDs wearing full barfira, I personally do on NIN and PLD, and have never had trouble keeping hate through that. I will definately agree that Shell IV/V is crucial in that KS99 due to Breath attacks and Fafhogg formation.
