Sorry for the interruption, I just finally read this thread since it was always getting back at the top...

I just wanted to say about the OP video I thought it was pretty funny and I am 99% sure it was meant to be a funny and mostly sarcastic video started from "hey, let's try to kill a mob using only cures!" etc.

I am sure the people in that party knew it wasn't the best way to get xp, especially the cure kill is kinda obvious, and there was no need to synch their hexas to get the '4 fucking hexa' other than just to do something fun. (you can see the guy can't keep a straight face in the bloopers at the end )

It's like if a group of darks got together and tried to kill a mob with stone1 only or something, it would be fun to try maybe but they wouldn't do it for all their future xp needs, but if someone ever did that they would probably want to make a funny sarcastic video about it showing the power of a DRK stone1 and whatnot.

I think I agree with the points Niro is making about wanting to do things differently for fun (or rebellion?) and definitely I agree with Alleya's comments that it's important to remember which alternative strategies actually work well and which ones you do purely for fun and should know they are not really good.

I had a really fun PT like 3 years ago with 6 monks at level 58 fighting reclusive spiders in kuftal, we all had weird subs, mnk/brd was singing ballad, mnk/smn using aerial armor, mnk/whm using curagas, and we switched hate with raging fists in order as soon as our blink was off, with mnk/war using voke in emergencies. If anybody ever got hit by sickle slash the high hp would prevent one-shot deaths, the guy would chakra and dodge and someone would grab hate. The xp seemed pretty good with no downtimes, but probably there was a better way and that PT would be so hard to put together again, but it was so different and so much fun I still remember it well to this day.

I actually did a 3x whm pld rdm brd in the back of gustav tunnel like a year ago, only time i actually used that darksteel maul in my mog house. even though it was really fun for me, the party disbanded in like 1 hour because virtually any other setup will get better exp points.
