Finally, although not by the best circumstances, I had a chance to go to an HNM on SAM.

Top is the highest Kaiten without a DA, middle is the highest Gekko without a DA, and the last is the only DA WS I landed. Overall Kaiten loses out to Gekko/Kasha/Yuki by about 300-400 damage on him with 300% TP, but it's still pretty strong considering Kaiten only needs 100%. TA WS showed just about the same results as well.

With SA the range of Kaiten was about 650 to 950 damage with an average of about 750, and the other WS had a range of about 900 to 1300 with an average of 1k. With TA Kaiten had a range of 250 to 400 with an average of 300, and the other WS had a range of about 300 to 650 with an average of 500.

Ouch, looks like Kaiten suffers from the same variable pDIF that plagues Yuki/Kasha. You're using attack food I'm assuming, but did you have 2x Miinuet?

I'm not going to get into the Gekko vs Yuki vs Kasha thing again, although I do still plan to finish that test I started in that thread before it died... Figure I may just bump it assuming that wouldn't be a problem, not for the sake of arguing but just to figure out what is really going on with the numbers. Everyone was wrong in some way originally anyway, so it's more about just figuring out what it really is.

As for the damage, I had attack food and 1 minuet for the DA, and attack food + 2 minuets for the other two. I've been noticing Kaiten gets considerably worse in comparison to the other three WS as the mobs get harder, on the other side though it also tends to have a much larger range of damage greatly depending on how much attack I have.

Don't know how/if that speaks to the formulas at work for the damage, but yeah that's basically the results I've had so far. Pretty much the same as I said in that thread a while ago.

I think those take double magic damage, and with a well timed Deep Breathing + Armet, probably explains that SS. That's pretty awesome though. Did he actually get hate from that? (something you never see)

I have some 3600 Culverin slugs on xp mobs laying around somewhere (too much work for 4AM)
I'm somewhat proud of the 3003 point blank because its only dia II and double minuet with Marbled steak (I'm not rich enough to go epeen every merit pt and get red curry). Wasn't planned so SV, Dia III, acid bolt, flashy shot wasn't used.
Good buddy of mine got a 2048 Side on Faf few weeks back. (And didn't make him flail!)

hmm yeah, wasnt having a good day, lol but not a bad ws on the skele's weak to blunt damage in limbus.

Flan in salvage... was like... not lightningday, pendant not active (had all gear unlocked though), etc and I still had the INT reduction on.... guess they have some TP move that makes them take double magic damage? Dunno, never really seen flans with TP outside of Salvage. Didn't see any use the move the rest of the run... guess I should pay more attention. Gotta try full dmg gear with freeze2 and whatnot...
