MDB gear does work on it. I tend to swap to Duelist's Gloves and Dalmatica in hopes of surviving, but when it still does close to 2k on non resists......you still kinda die. =/

It does along with just about any other form of magic defense, and apparently +light resistance.

I'm also pretty certain that screen I posted wasn't a resist in particular.. I know it can resist and I've seen others resist it for pretty low damage, but I get hit for ~1.1k every single time now over the course of several Ultimas. No 2k+s at all or any of them higher than even 1.3k as long as I have the right gear/buffs.

Screens from the last month or so since I've had lolMandau. Obviously they're higher end for any given fight, but Mercy Stroke and Mandau itself have exceeded my expectations by far.

Tiamat damage is with /NIN (ported straight from sea farming 2x) with gimpy Thief's Knife off-hand. Still haven't reobtained Blau, so more damage as /NIN will have to wait. TA+Kebabi+2x Minuet and AC when ready. Feint is absolutely godly on longer fights like this, although Tiamat has surprisingly low evasion to begin with, making 2 and sometimes 3 WS possible per land cycle.

Fafnir damage is with /WAR, TA+Kebabi+Minuet 4, AC when ready. Fafnir is actually harder to hit than Tiamat regardless of blind from wing. Haven't had a shot at Nidhogg yet though.

Also fought 1 Cerberus as THF/SAM. I was a little worried about being able to build TP with Hoplon spam, but it wasn't an issue and the 250-300 SA every 56 seconds really helped cut through Hoplon when it was up. Didn't take any SS though, was too busy checking /ja timers and making sure I wasn't Paralyzed before WS.

I was somewhat disappointed with the damage though, a few 800s but mostly 500s-700s with TA+Kebabi+2x Minuet. I plan to take /NIN next time which will boost damage some, as /SAM didn't provide much benefit and I pulled hate quite a few times from SA and melee attacks.

Still a few tests I wanna put Mandau through (Ouryu and Baha2), but only after a month of playing around with it, I couldn't be more pleased with my relic. :D
