I don't have a source, but I read/heard a while back that the Wiimote has speakers on it and Twilight Princess will have Wiimote features like pulling the Wiimote back to fire an arrow and the sound traveles from the wiimote to the nunchuk, as if the arrow was passing by your head.

That was stated at E3 from the Miyamoto and the Pres.

Ive notice alot of people talking about third partys coming to Wii but after looking at ign.com at Wii third party games and there is NOTHING. PS3 has them all still, so the point of this agruement is you will get a Wii for first party games and you will buy a PS3 for third its just that simple.

As far as programing goes whenever a new console comes out its always hard to make games for. Go back and look at the history from Snes to PSX those first generation games look like crap compared to the last generation games. Then from PSX to PS2 it was the exact same way, that is just how the industry goes, you gotta accept it.

I would like to say one thing.

I had one dead pixel on my DS lite.

Nintendo replaced it at no cost to me.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and agree that most of the time the early games on consoles don't look nearly as good as the games that are coming out around the end of their life. A 5 year old could look at FFVII and FFIX and see the difference.

If you're trying to say PSX makes SNES games look like crap though... FF6, CT, Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island, and a lot of other games will disagree with that.

Not saying that at all those are great and very well done even by today's standards, but you gotta understand that systems are designed to specialize in certain types of graphics back in those days.

For example sega saturn specialize in 2D games which is why games like Xmen vs Street fight was arcade perfect on saturn. Saturn systems was designed to do 2D and sega even said so themselves. Same with SNES but that is because thats all they could do back in those days was 2D games. PSX was different it was made to be the first console that could handle 3D graphics.

Sony will pull through if bluray takes off, simple as that.

If bluray doesn't take off then they'd better have games so good and so big that any system without bluray discs wouldn't be able to run it.

Still though the thought of being able to have uncompressed textures in a game with HD quality seems pretty nice. 8 cells that can each be programmed for seperate tasks - that's hot. I still don't see, like others mentioned, why bluray would be used for movies and such... They're like 4-8 gigs in HD and can easily fit on a DVD with all the crappy extras nobody watches anyways.

Anyways yeah Sony still has all the support and if they don't slap their president in the face for saying such stupid shit they'll start to lose them. Doesn't the japanese version of E3 start soon? They better roll out the freakin red carpet and have nothing but excellent news. Honestly I don't really think it's Sony vs Wii at this point, it's Sony vs Sony.

I really doubt Bluray is going to have anything near a CD or DVD type life. It's just not a big enough of an improvement. It might be enough to sell a few consoles, but honestly who bought a PS2 because it could play DVDs?

You would be shocked. More so in Japan where that was the biggest reason it sold for a while. That's why I don't see the same thing happening twice, Blu-ray does not offer as big a leap as DVD's did.

Bluray will not take off, it's as simple as that.

There are too many people with DVDs, and 90% of them will not want to buy a 1000$ unit for something they already have.

Unless DVDs cese to be produced, there is no point in Bluray.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holographic_Versatile_Disc HVD is something worth upgrading for however. This thing will come out in about 5 years, and maybe then DVDs are ready to go.

DVDs arnt going anywhere, there is no point to buy Bluray.

The fact is, VHSs are still being produced for new movies, DVDs will still be made for years and years to come, Bluray is simply just the rich mans toy. Why would the normal person buy something so expensive when they could go get the same exact thing for a cheaper price?

You know people said the same exact thing when DVD first came out, that it wouldn't go anywhere because everyone already had VHS players and you could record on them, which you couldn't do back in the day on DVD. Look at what happened guess we will just have to see what happeneds :D

But even with VHS there were problems. What problems do you see in DVD that Blu ray fixes? I don't see people's DVDs getting in worse quality when they watch or needing to be rewound.

True, like I said, right now Bluray is the rich mans toy, DVD was the rich mans toy when it first came out as well. However, DVD was really the only competition DVD had when it came out (lolminidisk); Blueray has 3 other competitors, one being equal and as of right now been told to be better (HDVD), one that blows both of them out of the water completly (HVD), and an underdog that im not to informed on.

I just done see Bluray going very far, but only time will tell.

HD-DVD is backwards compatable, Blu-ray is not. Blu-Ray disks lock themsleves to one player(or something like that I guess) HD-DVD do not. I'm not saying the ability to watch movies in 1080i isn't intetresting (dvds are 480p) but why would you get Blu-Ray over HD-DVD?

I said the same thing when dvd got removed from gamecube, and people were like OMG NOOO! Anyone who really cares will have a game system AND a (HD)dvd player so it's pretty moot.

I'm going to buy a PS3, when MGS and/or FF come out, so like, in 2 years? mabye 3? for now I'll take Metroid and Zelda at launch.

A really trusted source of mine said Wii will see for 229, at least at best buy, it could be changed but that is what the mock photo said. Also, there is to be 20 to 25 virtual console games by launch, none will be more than 10 dollars.

Lets pray there are 5 or more releases a week. I more dissapointed in the price. I hope they come with good features. Anything more than 1 dollar better have more than just online multiplayer. For a 10 dollar Mario Kart, I'd expect maybe a new weapon or two, some new tracks, maybe a new character or two, online multiplayer up to 8 on races/4 on battle mode, online ranking in both areas, and... if I had to be really greedy, a track editor.
