The best way to look at it is that Pittsburgh lost, but Cinci did not win, if you know what I mean. Pittsburgh completely 100% gave that game away.
    1) Beginning of the game, about to go up 14-0, Ben throws interception #1
    2) 4th Quarter, Steelers now up again 17-14, in complete control, sacking Palmer like crazy, then Colclough (Coke-Lee) fumbles at like the 20, they take the lead 21-17.
    3) We have the ball back, Verron Haynes runs for 10 yards and fumbles, turns it over again.
    4) Down 28-17, driving, at the 16 yard line, another Roethlisberger interception, game over.
So please explain how Cincinatti dominated us, that is called beating yourself. If anything we dominated them, and they got lucky recovering their fumbles, while we were not as fortunate. Get your information straight.

Can cry all you want about giving the game away, but the bengals won (you say steelers shouldnt have made that many mistakes, could flip the coin and say the opposite about the begals)

no one is really denying who won the game. they're just responding to this guy:

anyone with actual football knowledge and paid attention to the game would know that's entirely inaccurate. when the other team are making unforced mistakes/turnovers, it hardly consitutes as "owning".

I don't think there's any reason for Steelers fans to panic. Patriots started 0-2 a few years ago and won the Super Bowl. Steelers started 3-2, and the Seahawks started 2-2 last year, and met in the Super Bowl.

I am really starting to think that Ben Roethlisberger is overrated though. Despite being a Super Bowl champion quarterback, I'm not even sure he's in the Top 10 QB's in the league. He seems like a good leader and an average-to-good QB who can captain an outstanding team. But he's still young and rarely looks polished.

I would agree with you there Byrd. The time that he shined the most was in the playoffs last year leading up to the Super Bowl, he was pretty bad in the Super Bowl itself. He has never been a superstar or anything, but has always had excellent support around him, i.e - Bettis, Hines, Plaxico.
His problems are all mental, he sucks one week and it keeps haunting him and he can't overcome it. This bye week is huge, I hope everything will be ok after.

He managed the games with alot of talent, and a killer defense around him.

If youre counting on him to make plays, you got the wrong guy. Overrated.

He's good, he was better last year, I really do think now that the accident has fucked him up like we were all scared of. He's never been a Peyton kind of 300 yard passer but he always got the 1st down when it mattered. Watching him the past 2 weeks overthrow reciever after reciever and throw INT after INT is really scaring me. Everyone always would put him down because he's get like a 90 rating every game but throw only for 180. Because he picked his spots, now he's forcing them. He needs to get his god damn shit together.

Also he has thrown more than 30 passes in both of the last two games, this means that we are counting on him way too much.
It is weird too since Fast Willie was ripping them apart.

Yea Ben was never a great qb. He was just a "decent" qb, that you could rely on not to make to many turnovers/bad decisions. Kinda like a good backup qb, they aren't amazing but they don't hurt there own team. This year in first 3 games hes gone on streaks where hes looked really good passing right on mark in every game. Then all sudden he just looks horrible, seems like someone else said must be mental. Both teams looked absolutly horrible in this game as a steelers fan I hate to see them lose but don't really care that much because winning a game like thats just gonna make a team think there better then they really are, when obviously neither of them did very well against each other, and i'd say each other are toughest teams each other have faced yet this year.

I was happy to see willie parker absolutly tear the "supposed improved run d" apart though.

Steeler fans don't need to worry, they need to give up hope. When they have to rely on ben to throw a bunch to win games, they are screwed. I only saw the first half of the game on Sunday, but from what I saw willie was tearing it up, so not really sure why they relied on Ben so much. Ben can manage games, and keep the steelers in games, but he is nowhere near top 10 QB's.

Steelers may have won the superbowl last year, but I really don't think they were the best team last year, and they are nowhere near the best team this year... They will be lucky to finish second in their division this year.

because stupid turnovers put them behind when they should've been ahead.

I see, I only saw highlights of the game so wasn't sure.

Doesn't change anything though, Steelers are garbage this year.

It's common knowledge Steelers were not the best team last year... The Colts were. The Steelers were the best team in the playoffs and that's where it matters. Any idiot knows regular season =/= postseason.

Can we get people who know absolutely nothing about football to get the fuck out of this thread already? So by your great genius, the Bengals must be garbage too because they barely beat the garbage Steelers. The Jaguars too for only scoring 9 points on them.

    Garbage: Raiders and Titans.

When i said dominated, i meant as in 21 points off turnovers. The Steelers apologists said that cinci was lucky, but that isnt the case. Lucky is a last minute botched call or fumble...not 5.

Edit: Top 5 teams in the league

    1. Seattle
    2. Indi
    3. Atlanta
    4. Bengals
    5. Jacksonville (maybe)

    Worst 5

    1. Oakland
    2. Green Bay
    3. Tenneessee
    4. Tampa Bay
    5. Dunno >.>

You blatant Pittsburgh haters are so funny to me.
Read: Tyche and Fistinmyass (or w/e his name is).
You call us homers, but we actually make logical comments and break down certain parts of the game, why this happened, why this did not happen. You two just come in and make nonsensical (sp?) comments just to bash the Steelers.
Can we get people who know absolutely nothing about football to get the fuck out of this thread already?
It was clear that Cinci was lucky, Pittsburgh had that game IN HAND, and blew it on the fumbled punt, we had ALL of the momentum, sacking Palmer like crazy. Why the fuck do you take out Holmes on punts when he is doing fine and put in Coclough who has a history of fumbling punts. I personally think they should put Nate Washington back there, he seems very explosive.

    Now you've started in, Tyche.

Top 5 teams in the league
    1. Indianapolis
    2. Chicago
    3. Seattle
    4. Philly
    5. Cincy

    Worst 5
    1. Oakland
    2. Houston
    3. Tennessee
    4. Detroit
    5. Green Bay

I'm a Seahawk fan, still not sold on the Seahawks being an elite team this year, I think the Giants would've won that game had it been about 10 minutes longer. We'll see this Sunday night: Seattle @ Chicago. I predict the winner of this game ends up with home field through the NFC playoffs. I also think the Eagles are a damn good team -- they are only two years removed from the Super Bowl, and without the TO cancer, are very dangerous.

And Houston's probably not that bad, but so long as Reggie Bush and the Saints are doing well, it makes the Texans look that much worse.

You can call me a pitt hater, but im right. Cinci wasnt lucky, pitt had turnover after turnover. So if they were lucky, i guess they were lucky on all 3 TDs from turnovers. NFL is won and lost on turnovers. Pitt lost, and i said before the season even started that they were over-rated and would be lucky to win 10 games. I'll stand by that 3 weeks into the season, it's looking more and more correct. If i would have posted that pitt would go 1-2 you guys would have had a fit telling me how stupid i was. I understand though, NFL fans have a passion like no other, so i respect your stance. If it makes you happy, i was rooting for pitt in the superbow, i hate seattle even more.

Edit: I would probably put chicago over jacksonville, but jacksonville has had a very very hard schedule, has great coaching, and came out the first three weeks pretty well. I put tampa in there because they lost simms for the rest of the season.
