Endsong was one of those books (like Jim Lee's Superman run) where you would have been better off taking white-out to all of the voice bubbles and writing in the words yourself. Pretty pretty art, but the storylines were terrible, the characters were all wrong, and they just didn't make sense. For example: in Endsong the Shiar reconstituted the Phoenix Force to try to kill it and that drove the force insane, but in the last issue of the Here Comes Tomorrow story arc, Jean had achieved "White Phoenix of the Crown" status- meaning the highest bond a mortal can possibly have with the Phoenix Force.Originally Posted by Krandor
But even if I did not reject the premise of Warsong on the basis that Jean is still bonded with the Phoenix Force and in the White Hot Room, it is still one of the worst comic books that I have ever read.
And Astonishing X-Men is truly astonishing and you should pick up the issues that you missed. I have given up trying to guess what Joss Wheaton is going to do next; it's just too good and surprising to figure out.
