Do you use points for the cursed gear? Let me rephrase:Originally Posted by Remus

Besides, there's these things called jobs that pay far more than any amount of virtual money ever will.
We don't have a point system, and the ls buying items like that is what its for, theres no reason for 500m to sit on a mule and rot, instead of paying for peoples items that they want, regardless of them being useful or not.
And I don't know what your server is like, but here on Midgard people buy things entirely to show them off in jeuno.
R.I.P. Royals Cloak Brigade.
PO 4eva :D
i know a guy on cerberus who's putting himself thru college on 3-100 crafts
kinda hilarious when u think about it even tho its ruining the game for others

Summary: In a game where RMT is officially supported, a guy buys virtual property for $100,000 (real money) and makes it back (real money) within 8 months.
A different game and not the status quo, but hey... virtual pixels > real job, in that scenario.
Honestly, if a person could go through life, or get a good break, they would RMT in a heartbeat.
'Hey, were going to offer you 1m$ for your character, however you will be screwing 100s of people in the process, how about it?' 'Fuck yes'
Anyone who would say no is either fucking rich or a dumbass.

P.S. This thread didn't fail because of content, it failed because of delivery. When there's good drama you don't say "Man BG will love this", and then make a thread "hey guess what I know you guys are gonna love this shit so here's what I did .... etc etc". You make a thread that says "Fuck you PO you fucking faggots I disbanded the LS and sold all your shit, HAHA FUCKING NOOBS. Here's the ebay link to an account that isn't even mine, gfg retards. See you in WoW". That's a fucking drama thread with potential, this is just a cry for attention.
Like leveling your 7th job to 75 or farming / skilling :3Originally Posted by divisortheory

each new patch should have something new that bumps an old thing off your regular schedule. FFXI doesn't work like that.
Yep nothing wrong with taking advantage of other peoples laziness, but isn't that what all services are really? Oh and about 90% of the jobs are there are concidered services so yeah lol.Originally Posted by takedown2
When I say "PO fell out of the spotlight", I mean, people don't care much anymore. I'm sure up until its death PO was the strongest or second strongest LS(or third strongest?) LS on the server. Too bad a lot of the members in the LS were assholes.
I think you missed the point, not that you are wrong. Aery can mean grinding sky and dynamis too.Originally Posted by layoneil
In all fairness, they update a little too frequently for that. 3 months is definitely not enough time to make something big enough that it bumps something else off your schedule. Do I think they could have added more stuff in the amount of time they've had? Probably.Originally Posted by layoneil
The real issue, however, is that these people are haijins are their worst. It doesn't matter how fast SE introduces content, they will suck it up faster than its possible for anyone to produce it, and then they'll complain when their 10 hours of gameplay every day, 365 days a year, have brought them to feeling they've done everything there is to do. Well no fucking shit they have nothing else to do (although even that is false, there's always relic weapons, Absolute Virtue, and other stuff). I play about 3-4 hours a day on weekdyas, and 6-7 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday, and I only have 1 job at 75, and still find tons of shit to do in the game every time I log on. The problem isn't lack of content on the part of the game, it's a mentality on the part of the player that they don't want to continue until they get one specific item (usually a Ridill), at which point they'd probably quit anyway.
wow didnt see this coming. But i guess when u accomplish most of what the game has to offer there isnt really much to play for.
I wonder how this is going to affect midgard...i didnt mind PO but it sure did have its share of assclowns (like any other ls) that i will be glad to see gone.
Spilner you ass your leaving w/o ever having a +1 signed staff to sell me lol.
Anyway good luck in your future guys, you can honestly leave this game having accomplished 99.9% of it.
A lot of the members stopped caring a year ago, but held on because they felt like they owed it to the linkshell.
PO isn't the PO it once was, it hasn't been that for about a year and a half; all of the members selling accounts and items have put their time in, many hours a day of their time, to help the linkshell succeed and grow, but it just isn't worth it anymore. The recent patches have proven SE does not care about their game or their player base and we've decided that it would be a lot more fun to just go our own ways, be it to World of Warcraft or to the mysterious beyond of real life.
I make 70k/yr at my RL job and understand the value of a dollar, making a decision to pocket thousands on the "work" i did in my free time sitting in Aery is a good business decision.Originally Posted by inafume
I never even thought about RMT until I was ready to completely call it quits. I never once crafted thinking "ooooh HQ, there's another 20 bucks", but after it was all said and done I wish I had. SE had their chance to fix RMT (tons of it actually), and never did...so fuck em, call that the price of competing against RMT crafters and campers for 3 years.
As for pixels not paying for things, you don't need to RMT $120k to pay for a college education. There are things called investments that you can learn which create financial leverage. Don't wait until your kids are 16 to start shoving bills in a shoebox and you might find the whole thing a little easier to swallow.
ninja-ish edit: I didn't RMT anything like a LS Osode or a sponsored relic. I was an RDM so it was all ra/ex anyways. I wouldn't sell shit that belonged to others. Hell I held my LS's dynamis bank, could have cashed that in for bookoo bucks if I had no morals at all.
