Soje just summed up the problem guys, if you dont understand why it is bad, go look at an economics text. In the shortrun you like the cheap sushi, in the long run it bones you.

Today I got pissed off after checking a RMT crafting mule and seeing its bazaar full of prism arhat gi+1 mahatma slops and others HQ.... I called a GM to know if anything could be done about RMT trying to control a market and screw up normal players way to make money... and here was what I got.
Maybe if more of us bitch at the right people, S-E will do something and wave the ban-stick a little more often.
(for the story, this same RMT used to flood the market with rainbow cloth/threads with an army of accounts farming webs in the new ToA areas. they don't do that anymore since price are so low now that normal players just stopped making this item for money and they ended being the only sale so they stopped and moved on to phase#2.)

/sigh, do you really think that had any effect at all? How long have you been playing this game now that you think calling a GM about people undercutting and monopolizing a crafting market would have any effect?
whinning on forums....never did a thing...Originally Posted by divisortheory

my point is you can whinne your ass off on a forum all day long all your life if you want S-E will never do a shit.... unless people(lot) start reporting the issue to them directly.
And now that they know how bad can be RMT in their game they might be more keen to listen to our complains abour RMT than they did in the past.
I got some of them ban for less than that recently... so go figure.
Can I see the proof you got some banned? You ever think you're not the only person on your server that might have reported them, maybe someone saw them POS?Originally Posted by Christophe

You can't do that anymore because nobody else makes the NQ pies except for the gilsellers and people skilling up.
Kuno is very right about the maximum price set by anyone else selling on the AH. Any time I try to sell an item that is 40k it's returned now unless I set it at 22k, before even everything can sell it's back to the same person selling again, forcing me to set it even lower at 10k to even get it to be sold. You can't compete against someone spam checking and relisting their items the second they aren't selling for them.
Consumeables are seriously screwed up, it really is competing against an NPC on the AH for any market where even one RMT has moved in. Anyone who did cooking, alchemy, or ninja tools is in the same position.
Am I here to give proof? If around you people like to lie to make themselves look interresting, I don't. I no kid.

I called a GM on a RMT for botting, then in the chat with the GM I told him that two more were suspected of botting. The GM took the name of the guy I had called a GM on and also asked me the name of the two others and said he would investigate them all.
One disappeared within an hour after my call... a few hours later I went to sleep and the next day the other one wasn't online when I checked but the first was still on...
I checked on the two that had disappeared for over a week and they never came back online. and still not online for over a month now. So I guess reporting people that are hanging in Jeuno/sky and see them disappear after my call made me think that there was a correlation somehow...
and also, I am on Seraph, the server where most people just don't give a damn about calling a GM just because "GM wont do anything"
Lvan and Heroe are the name of the two that disappeared shortly after my call, if you want to get your j00 buddy to check.
the first of the three now has disappeared, but I hardly doubt it got banned because of my call a month ago.
