Alchemy is essentially not worth doing any more. I make more money selling the raw ingedients to the assholes that have fucked the market than I do from crafting itself. Stupid retards ripping the ass out of the Oil and Powder markets.

Every time I have tried to make noodle dishes there was never enough demand to sell it quickly/at all.

Yeah! 40k for a stack of Oils was completely reasonable!

FFXI needs more consumables, HQ'able consumables for god sake, other then just food. Adding higher tier items
from HQ(+2,+3) would be a decent way to reward high lvl crafters for their time and energy spent taking the craft up and
    getting all that damn GP.

Stackable drinnks that nq gave 2-3% haste and HQ 4-5%, a charged neckpiece that gave a stackable refresh effect, or hell
even +MAB/M.acc/MDB food would be a nice addition to the game.

Most of the stuff they added lately just plan sucks, with a few good things thrown in to keep us sort of happy.
Better items means more demand and a healthier market. Sucky, redundent items, no thanks.

Unless S/E is actually involved with gilseller activity(lol), I think that by christmas, they are giong to be banning a lot of people if they do that xmas gilsale bullshit again, and we'll be able to make money again easily without fags who buy 50M at a time fucking it up~

Must be a server thing. http://www.ffxiah.com/item.php?id=5190&stack=1&sid=28
Costs like 30k tops to make a stack if you a) have a cook that won't hq the buffalo jerky much and b) you NQ all the carbonara synths. Each buffalo meat turns into 4 carbonara at NQ.

Notice that the 8th is Friday night <_< food moves slower during the week, naturally, and tends to sell best between 6-12 EST, and then again in the early AM during JP primetime.

Pescatora is also nice, since you can make 12 for like...70k...and then sell for 200k. But it sells pretty slow, and can be hard to find the fishes for it.

I don't make carbonara much anymore. Been focussing on clothcraft, since cooking caps out on profit/day pretty easily.

I don't know if our server is full of retards or what but like Tekki said it's easy to make money. If you have half a brain and calculate your expected return on the synth it's easy to see what is the most profitable. Some of the Clothcraft synths on our server have an expected return of 400k+/synth.
The only thing now is when you do HQ a pricey item it takes 2-3 weeks to sell the shit.

Yah, pasta tends to sell very slowly, but for high profit on my server. I tend to do a few synths a week and let them sell slowly over time, while I pack the rest of my AH slots with faster selling / lower margin items.

In the end you get a nice daily income from the high turnover items, as well as nice high profit boots every few days from the slower selling items.

There a complete pain in the tailhole to synth tho, 15 ingredients per stack >.< with 2 sub-synths, and two un-stackable ingredients.

Tekki haxor at crafting <_<;; But he is right. Sylph Leather crafters need to all be gatherd in a big hole and set on fire... The collective IQ of them is 18 tops... I am just beyond happy I am still living off the gil I made on the "ZOMG I BUY GILZOR" christmas phase... Making 7M on one sitting on Amemt Mantles alone... oh how I miss thee.
