imo I agree imageshack is gay, I really do not like it, from my experience.
My preferred hoster right now is tinypic.com. They have never removed any of my pictures, and they can do any kind of file. I recommend them.

I use tinypic because I upload pics on my desktop, and then have to manually write the URL out on my laptop when I want to post it somewhere.
