And linked the funny picture of taru corsair wielding the nomad moogle wand. I completely guessed it was a fan fest simply because of that moogle wand and the new "Hero Challenge" thing they had. So I was wrong, it wasn't a fan fest but a big event they're putting together for a trade show. Close enough.

I've been playing video games since I was a little kid, and I was probably more knowledgeable about the happenings of them back then than I am now, all thanks to Nintendo Power. I don't think I've been living under some rock, but I've never heard of TGS, sue me. I don't think I'll lose any sleep over it either lol. I only heard of E3 from reading Penny Arcade. And on that vein, should be interesting to see if PAX will pick up all the industry attention with E3 downsized.

Btw, do they still make Nintendo Power? I would think if they did, it probably would suck.

TOA had a very popular release, it promised and, to a large extent, delivered.
The subsequent updates, while palpably disappointing, seem to me like setting the ground work, which is ultimately fine.
I have enough faith in the devs to turn Alzadaal into something great (mostly because I’m hoping to finally see some Iron Giants) and keep expanding on the East where it will be a complete, distinctive continent, instead of a big flashy glorified Tavnazia.
I’m hoping Cerb & Hydra were only meant to be Serket/Roc to a much more desirable Sky with equivalent side-grades...
Perhaps I’m setting my sights a bit too high?

In any case, with the strong opening it had, I doubt they’ll allow it to peter out the way some of you seem to fear it will.

People aren't all going to be patient and wait around to see if the ToAU endgame area is as good as Sky if SE can't put out some better updates that can hold people while stuff like WoW expansion and PSU (among several other games) come out in the following months. Having to wait a presumably good several more months to even see the equivilant to Sky and Sea in ToAU come out with nothing good to really keep me busy while waiting isn't what I want to deal with.

This game use to be fun but with SE BS.. i think the best of final fantasy XI is behind and there not much to look foreward. THey keep on adding new content that is almost useless and not that fun.. ex. chocobo raising.. wth it take 1 month to get it done and for what? ride a stupid colored chocobo in empty maps.. wooot sooo much fun to waste about 30 min per day to go in town and check on your stupid bird.

SE dosent give crap about the real players. they only care about the money they get from RMT, its the retarded peoples who buy gils that make this game worst and worst everyday, i use to be on top 5 on myt server long time ago, then noob started to pop with much better buyable gear then i had only because they buy gils instead to make friend and do stuff with them to make some... then they think they cool , uber cuz they are lame enough to buy gils..

Suggestion for everyone here.. SE been laughting at the real players and only care about RMT.. so fuck them and play another game so they go down the hole.. cuz thats all i wish for them.

Then leave if it's such a waste. Honestly I'm waiting for people to leave so there is server migration and they close some servers down. The top two NA HNMLS's (of a year ago) on Shiva have merged because so few from their LS's play anymore. If not for a botting LS that was created a few months ago it'd be easier to get HNM's than before during NA time and LS's like mine could camp them a lot more often without it feeling like a waste.


I also want to merge so I can have e-peen Mandau battles with Chiz, Nynja and Wafik.
