i can never watch those kinds of imbedded videosthey always freeze my browser
((
is there anyone that knows offhand what plugin/codec i need for those?? i have k-lite codec pack and i dont think its covered :/
Did loads of assaults and what i got so far:
Storm Torque (crap)
Storm earing (lol)
Some Assault GKT, dont know name
and some items which peaked 50k in value.
Also, my point about the obstructive nature of ugly range was not if it was hard or fair or anything. The main point is, that while at first these things seem exciting, after a while you just want to get to your destination and not waste your time with gimmicky obstacles.
These things (ugly range included) are just like a rollercoaster - fun at first, but after 30 minutes you just want to get out and puke.
Honestly, Ugly range was never an exciting trek for me, I found it annoying from the get-go.
The sort of things I like are like... the fact that Cerberus howls when he's up and stomping around. Always found that pretty damn cool ;oa
Just trying to get anything positive from it. And whats up with your sig. With the strange font and red background I was expecting something like "Mach - Lenins favorite samurai".
Btw, I want some big HNMs that come in pairs. Maybe wyrm repop timers, but 3 or 4 similar nms pop at the exact same time in different areas. Then make them drop orbs that allow for a fight against all of them with a lootpool containing the best of all the single nms individual loots.
I think the 3 troll NMs in Halvung pop at the same time.Originally Posted by fumbletweed
"Troll NMs" and "Halvung" sounds too much like Besieged mobs, I bet noone cares. I was thinking more about the dimension of wyrms, but with the orb and following BCNM making sure that even killing a NM with a bad lootpool would get you a shot at the full range of drops in the BCNM.
PS: heres your new sig Mach, just imagine I'd also swapped the "R" in RNG for a russian "Я" and cared enough to cut better.

lol.
I'm sorry, but if you can't make it up Ule easily without some sort of self MGS ability, you're just sucking, because I'm not going to allow you the excuse of me apparently being better than most people. ;x
I've done it less times than most people (I assume, since I've never had to trek for Jor), but when I first did it, I went up that bastard, with no one ‘cept /WHM and my shadow, at least five times in a row. The Taurus they added on the first hill doesn't make it any harder.
The only thing that makes it an undesirable experience is being forced to babysit people who are not patient or observant enough to do it well (and missing that fucking ledge 4 times in a row...).
Sneak/Invis has made you people soft, those spells should have only reduced the sensory field by a significant amount, not allow you to smear your torso on a mobs face and not get a single reaction.
Goblins only con Sight, but have those big flappy ears.
You're gunna tell me they magically can't hear your stomping around in the rain or in a friggin’ sewer 1ft away? If an animal could instinctively sense you, how the hell is a Beastman that stupid?
If anything, they should reduce the power of those spells so people will actually be able to practice being careful for the real True mobs.
You're God Damn Right I said it, Nerf Sneak and Invisible.
Unfortunately, none of this shit is gunna change, because this game was designed for 13 year olds and that's the level people are going to play at, no matter what.
That's kinda what I was saying, the fact that it's lost its shock value much too easily and there could be things implemented that retain the feeling for a longer period of time.Originally Posted by fumbletweed
Only poorly made roller coasters get shut down, the good ones stay for years.
When you've gone up Ugly range a few dozen times the mystique tends to wear off, same thing with the Rivernes and Sacrarium. I've dodged true-sense mobs hundreds upon hundreds of times; it's generally not as hard as it is annoying and time wasting.Originally Posted by LD
I want to see you get through Sacrarium with a nerfed sneak- good luck in the maze with all of the skeletons, ghosts, and hecteyes. Same thing getting through Monastic Caverns with a nerfed invisible- good luck in the tight passages with loads of angry orcs.
Some people have some seriously horrible ideas for this game.

Have to agree...Originally Posted by Volken
They're already nerfing sneak/invis by making mobs immune to them. Ever gone to camp Big Bomb? Pretty much requires a sacrifice just to get there.
that's why you fail.Originally Posted by LD
it's like driving stick, it's fun and cool if you're messing around, showing off, dusting your friends, etc. it is really really annoying when you're driving to work every day stuck in traffic.
no one takes roller coasters to work. no one optionally goes to them every day.Originally Posted by LD

Well well, took you this long to start.
I expected to be bombed within the first 5 minutes, but I had enough time to make ninja edits.
Sept, your sardonicism is flawed since you don't know the strength of the nerf I was suggesting.
I was mostly saying that most mobs should have a form of sight and sound argo to varying degrees and that the ridiculousness of being able to walk through a mob and still not be noticed is palpable and should be corrected.
Being invisible to a form of sense in a tight hallway is fine as long as you don't touch anything that moves.
Things that are generally blind and argo on sound (undead) could be walked around with invis down, but touching one should create some sort of reaction, if only from a faint feeling of force.
You could get close to a sight mob in a tight hallway, but you couldn't touch it and if you ran around too much, he's start to key onto your general direction and location without sneak (or possibly Deo :o XD).
It wouldn't even be like adding Corses to Qufim, it would only make it slightly more difficult.
The two areas you cited with my restrictions would make it difficult, not impossible.
It is possible to walk through the Sacrarium Maze hallways without touching anything.
In fact, it’s not even that difficult, I’m sure people do it all the time without trying.
This suggestion isn't coming from an entertainment standpoint, it is purely practical.
This is for the express purpose of training or weeding out poor players, something which everyone seems to complain about, but rarely takes any serious steps to do anything about.
You wallow in your gains and rarely have to use anything resembling reactive skill, well I’m sorry if I’m implying you actually earn your titles in an everyday situation.
This is simply the next logical step, as the game grows, so must its players.
I’m fairly sure I've gone up Ule more than people without an HNMLS and possibly more than people with one, but I'm not going to makes a conclusive, unqualified statement when I'm not sure about it.
Incidentally, most exp PTs who go up there usually don't go past the last ramp to Jor, with is probably the most difficult spot to move from, what with two possible Molecs, an Elemental, and very little visibility (especially during Blizzards).

would it be nice if the game was always like that? probably.
does the game not have enough other glaring problems where the dev team should be working on making it more practical? video games + practical = GTFO.
