Well it sounds interesting, and the screenshots are really gorgeous...looking forward to hearing about it more, but it will probably just end up like the other pretty crap NCSoft has to offer.

Looks very interesting, but I'm afraid by eliminating Grinding they are basically suggesting two options:

1. The most probably method, the experience is gained through instances and maybe PvP and you level up accordingly. Which would suck and would make the gain too much like every other fucking MMO and make me sick after a week.

2. The one that would make the game worth buying and playing, having no levels and simply having those certain elements which are recorded.

In an interesting twist, all player stats and actions will be recorded. This is significant as the information accumulates over time. How you interact with others and play the game will be tracked. As time progresses, these stats will begin to affect your player and those around you. In instance raids, your stats will either enhance or detract the characteristics of your party.

This would make the game so damn interesting. Having a unique build for your character based on how the game is played by you. Eliminating typical "builds" like those in WoW, and creating truly unique characters. Or maybe even just give skill points/hp/mp from the things you do but just never consider level a part of things.

Also, the wings for travel could add an extremely innovative element to play. Say, flying in the air with a dragon and fighting it? Say, flying freely like in FlyFF, etc.

lol yea I play it and enjoy it. Not for its MMO properties though.

I enjoy just driving around and mindlessly blowing shit up... and finding newer bigger guns to blow more shit up with.

As far as the MMO properties go, I totally hate the game. It looks like something WoW left in the toilet after eating some bad fish... the crafting system isnt really crafting. There's no real story content... quests are more repetitive than anything else and even the pvp is ultra lame lol.

As it's a NCsoft game, I look for the living fuck to be hacked out of it within a week and hoards among hoards of aggressive RMT's who will reach though your screen and kill you at your keyboard if you get a NM or slow down their farming on day 2.

The flying looks automated which is a definite drawback and the fighting system just reminds me of a typical modern MMO, i.e. WoW. The only redeeming feature now is it's unique leveling system it boasted. Let's see how that turns out.

I've actually been enjoying L2 lately, so I'm not totally anti-NCSoft. It's refreshing to be able to kill RMT and bots even if it really doesn't effect anything. The inter-clan politics lead to unprecidented amounts of drama to keep me entertained at work. The PvP owns the hell out of WoW's "afk farming honor" system. It's not a great game, but it has enough redeeming features to make me think NCSoft is capable of making a good game. If they find a way to reduce hacking I'd say they're better off than SE.
