Assault Weapons

So i did a search here about any info about the Assault weapons with day benefits for WSs. and i found nothing. Just curious if anyone has any info at all. maybe noone has "wasted" their points yet on them but i dunno they might be fun toys in conjuction with gorgets and maybe could even work with obis.

I heard that dual wielding assault weapons with jailer weapons while wearing the appropriate elemental gorget gives you en-spell damage equal to the physical damage you do. I kid you not.

But seriously, no clue about the weapons but as with most items that rely on day, the benefits over alternatives are probably marginal at best.

Pretty sure I read it here a while ago (think search for posts pre-move still doesn't work but I could be wrong) that they gave the same damage bonus as the gorgets. I don't remember the exact number though (10% or .1 to the fTP multiplier , something like that).

I'm working on getting Hotarumaru myself atm. I am informed (yea yeah, 2nd hand info, take it with a sack or two of salt) that "Elemental Weaponskill" means a weaponskills primary elemental attribute on the WS chart only. It does not mean weaponskills that do elemental damage (because that would be stupid, with there being a GAxe version of these weapons), nor does it apparently work on secondary attributes of weaponskills.

I will let you know when I personally test the effects, but anyone with one might want to start by testing that claim.

Gogo Mighty weapons! Ya Fireday onry but tons of better BASE dmg than the Assault ones

Keen Edge isn't Elemental.. It stacks with Sneak Attack and can Double Attack, last I checked Elemental WS don't do that.. It's just a crit based WS like One Inch Punch or Power Slash.

I barely do enough assault for the things I do know i want for sure (stupid EU times) so it would be a long time before i can get the sword unless of course you find out its hawt sex on the beach...

Pretty much. It was fairly obvious from the get-go that it would be something like this, because of the presence of Imperial Bhuj and Paluwhan Patas.

Nope, Keen Edge is a critical Hit. It has its primary (or indeed, its only) renkei attribute in Darkness on the chart, so would be improved on Darksday with these weapons, but it doesn't deal elemental damage

Someone on the (lol) KI Warrior Forum did some rough testing (small sample size and done on Qufim Giants, not consistent lvl 0 mobs) that seemed to show that Steel Cyclone got a small bonus on Water/Ice/Wind days.
