WHM/NIN cotanking with other PLD/NIN on wyrms?

Conserve MP is decent, but don't act like it's better than it is. (There was a thread not too long ago which showed you have to use around 180mp a minute for conserve MP to = the amount of MP that 1mp tick refresh will save you.

180MP isn't much. That's a Stoneskin, a Blink, a Haste, a Regen III, a Barfira, and... a Blindna would put it just over. Protectra/Shellra V is just shy of 180MP. Curaga II and Regen III is just over 180 MP.

Sounds to me like Conserve MP would kick in pretty well if you chose to go that route. And none of that should get you hate, especially if you're utilizing -Enmity in longer fights.

For fun it's okay. Using it as part of strat is a waste. If you're a taru, level pld to 75 and sub whm for events.

Can I ask how NIN/WHM is any good at wyrms? In a lot of fights I've been in as BRD at Tiamat or whatever I struggle to find someone to cure, although usually I just cast regen in order to not pull hate instead, which even then it's usually a very small amount of damage they took in the first place, but I like to keep vital people topped off on bard.

One other good subjob for WHM at some fights is actually dragoon, just for the jumps to clear hate. Longheart did this a lot on his WHM.

As far as not pulling hate as a tank PT WHM... It would be a lot easier and more efficient to just sub SMN and wear a good amount of -enmity gear if you can afford it as opposed to subbing DRG for the crappy amount of hate High Jump sheds. (IMO SMN sub is best, if for nothing else then Shining Ruby)

The WHM we normally have in the tank PT never pulls hate from just doing nearly everything in a good deal of -enmity gear (doesn't even need to wear her max), even after Curaga spam and Benedictions. On top of that, when things get hectic after a tank dies or Horrid Roar, she's usually the last one that that the mob goes for after DDs/RDMs/BRDs.

I don't even remember the last time she pulled hate.
