When you have to pay a country taxes on all the goods you are basically giving them for free, and they give you no say in how the government is run.. you are being their bitch. That was how it was for all of Britian's colonies, Canada and the US included. Taxation without representation ftl. Britian is only one of Canada's "roots", other European nations played a role as well. Why not pay homage to France rofl. I know the US would be screwed if the French did not disrupt the British Navy's supply lines in our Revolutionary War.

Speaking of oil, what the fuck is with gas prices plummeting. $2.05/g here. Was 2.12 yesterday, 2.20 the day before that, and 2.45 last week. I was watching the news at mcdonalds (lol) and seen where exon? is supposed to start drilling in the gulf of mexico. Apparently theres a metric shit ton of oil down there that has never been tapped due to lack of technology.

Gas companies set prices based on future demand. If a lack of oil looks likely in the future, prices go up, when there is an excess in oil, prices go down. So just knowing a lot of oil is coming will drive prices down.

To say -nothing- of the size of Canada's Navy compared to the US Navy, or the glaring fact that Canada has not a single, nuclear weapon of any sort and all the big SAC Bases could be turning the Great White North's cities into flaming glass pits within 15 mins.

We may not have the numbers, but we have well-trained troops. Quality over Quantity.

But rest assured, our new Conservative gov't is pouring billions into the army (bad idea but oh well). We have really old ships and planes lol, it's almost embarassing, but we still have very well trained soldiers.
