after about 6 months of owning a raja ring, I wish I had taken Sattvia. The store tp is only good for SAMs period.

I like my raja a lot soloing on Ninja, and I imagine it would be pretty nice on a black belt monk soloing, the ONLY time, that Subtle blow is noticable.

emnity and HP on the same slot is so sexy, Tamas takes the cake only because vit and agi are borderline worthless against anything that matters.

Genome isn't an elitest, he has a superiority complex. In order to be an elitest you have to actually be good.

The store TP is never useless. Shit happens and TP gain isnt constistent. You might be hit (normal hit or WS w/e) or you might not always hit all hits in a WS. In those cases store TP can be very helpful and +5 is no small amount. Its just generally damn good and underestimated.

I agree with this, honestly I think Stavva Ring is the most pointless of them all if you are going all out Tank/Melee character. 5VIT and 5AGI are pretty much pointless on all major HNM and make no noticable difference, espcially on PLD. I already maxed the beneficiall stats from Stavva Ring with Merits (HP and Enmity).

Propper meriting makes Stavva pointless. Now if you are not a primary tank then I still don't see why you would choose this ring, Tamas for Mages and Rajas for Melees. Stavva was a nice attempt but add more HP and more Enmity + (Think 50+HP and 5+Enmity) and I would have chosen it instead.

As people mentioned, you don't use all stats on tamas at the same time so it's easy to just replace it with rings and macro swaps.

The point about some blue magic is interesting and new, although I don't think those 3 blue spells that use both at the same time are used much (Firespit, Maelstrom, Blitzstrahl).

It used to be that enmity- rings were rare and expensive but now trooper's ring is free (IM points) and even more enmity- than tamas.
There is an argument for having INT+enmity- on the same ring since the moment you actually cast and give damage is important for enmity.

If you play only mages job it saves you the cost and space of several rings you would use separately. On the other hand there are a lot more melee jobs than mage jobs so if you plan to play other jobs in the future rajas will be useful for more jobs 30+.

For melee, Rajas is great since you use all 4 stats at the same time all the times. You notice that especially while soloing, store TP+5 is a lot and will often make you able to ws a turn earlier (especially for jobs with low delay and low tp weapons plus random extra double/triple/kick attacks, where you often get 96-98 tp without the ring and would be already wsing with it). The subtle blow is also definitely noticeable and the str and dex help not only with criticals and ws but also give 2.5 extra attack and accuracy (especially when soloing acc is often not a problem and an extra 2.5 more from snipers or 4.5 more from the best acc ring doesn't change your hit rate much).

hehe good point, I wasn't counting AV drops but the evasion-8 is not so nice for some jobs or for soloing, I think aside for the cool value people would still go for 5-7 acc rings without the evasion-

ASk yourself...do i need more -enmity? Depending on how you build your WHM, the -enmity on that ring may be nothing more than overkill anway. I took raja because i have a vivian ring (covers the MP part), and i have 2x Communion (covers MND part). I usually sit at around -25 or so enmity which is fine, unless shit goes haywire, in which case no amount of -enmity in the world will help you. I also split my rare/ex choosables up between jobs. Took Suppa because it was the only good item, took raja for MNK, and took magnetic for WHM.

I do on my Nin(melee with Rajas). The store TP from the ring, brutal and c.chain allow you to hit 100% tp after a no-miss jin. If I didnt, I would have 99% tp and have to melee for one more round to get it.

Yeah, you can pick a great solo-ring or get the best mage ring (in any situation) in the game.

Rajas is better for blu since the amount of TP you have matters and 100 isnt a magical number you have to hit.
