Rajas is almost completely useless. WS item only. If you melee with STR rings you need to go delete your character.

I do on my Nin(melee with Rajas). The store TP from the ring, brutal and c.chain allow you to hit 100% tp after a no-miss jin. If I didnt, I would have 99% tp and have to melee for one more round to get it.

Max efficiency.

Yeah, you can pick a great solo-ring or get the best mage ring (in any situation) in the game.

Because the only time I spam WS's is when im solo. Not in any sort of party built around getting merits, or anything.

In that regard, I think its the best melee ring also, because I don't have space to macro it out, I'd might as well get extra tp for wearing a str ring. (sounds pretty similiar to why mages praise tamas so much)

Just want to talk about the critical part. Russta tested his critical rate between Byakkos and Shura Haidate once, on monk (max crit merits and destroyers) and got a 1% diffrence. So no, the crit% from +5 dex isn't going to blow you away. In a party setting, wearing sniper/raja for 1 hour and then sniper/assailant for 1 hour, same mobs same food, and leaving the rings out of your ws macro, I would guess the 120k ring would take the cake, except mabye for THF and SAM.

Nah, Assailant ring kinda fails, Att+5 isn't enough, 5 STR will help DoT more, but 5/7 Acc is better than 5 STR.

But then my highest mage job is only there for easy warps. I hate mage jobs with a passion, would have been retarded to choose tamas.

Well it's never a comparison between STR+5 and 5-7 acc (and it's 2.5-4.5 acc). If your acc rate is already over 90%, the extra 2 or 4 acc would likely not be enough to cap it to 95-97ish. Being able to do ws one round faster from the storetp alone is already very valuable. The subtle blow might not be so noticeable in PTs but it's always there and always helping. And the crit%+ is also always there on top of the str+atk bonus, on every punch, double attack and ws. I think most people would agree the 1% from each crit+ merit is noticeable and very nice to have.

I have been meaning to test better the impact of DEX and crit+ items in different situations but didn't get around to it, but even a conservative 1% for each 10 dex is quite good in my opinion.
Xx's hypothetical test would seem more convincing if it was actually a real test, and from my own experience I think it would actually show a big margin in favor of rajas.
