Something about warriors on my server if they don't have a Ridill, they use Seiryu's Sword. It CLEARLY must be that model that makes it such a great weapon.

And as far as non-TOAU exp, U Range was the best. I never want to do weapons again, even having all of main camp to yourself, you can clear them all and sit there waiting on repops. U Range is like a exp smorgasbord, make a great party and watch the exp roll in. If it wasn't for me loving IS so much, I'd only exp in U Range.

I like Aerns, but no seals, crystals, CP, or IS gets annoying. But Ninja and Monk Aerns are the devil. And BSTs aren't far behind because their Euvhi pets are harder than IT Aerns and are usually DC-EM.

Ditto, I don't like weapons much cause of slow repops, xp pretty much caps at 8-10k/hour.

Uleguerand is pretty damn nice though.

I'm only ever in Sea with one or two other LS peeps, Chain 3-5 with 3 of us for ~300xp , the Tank is a Mnk with a full on Haste Build, saw him tank a Aw'aern Mnk by himself once...Barely

But yeah, Bst, Nin and Mnk Aern's suck. The War and Drg one's can be pretty bad when they get a Medusa Javelin off at the wrong time.

I've only seen them farm Ix'Drg and Ix'Drk to be honest.

Not sure what the strategy on Drg is, I think they have someone nab the Wynavs and run to a corner to keep them there whilst everyone else beats on the Aern. Only been there once myself. We got one Cape off him so far.

With Drk they just have a Nin drop from pt and continually zone the NM, and the main pt just picks off the Qu'aern off one by one as they chase the Nin, afer that we re-invite the Nin and kill Ix'Drk.
Went Deed-Cape-Deed-Cape-Nowt but deeds I think

Only seen them try Ix'Mnk three times. Once on a farm and Twice out of boredom, no capes yet, not sure if we got deeds either, last 2 attempts were 1 Organ pops. We had a PLD run circles around one of the pillars in the Ebon Panel room whilst we killed Adds.

If anyone cares:
We have a lot more luck getting the animosity message for Drk if we go in a party of 3 or 4. Peeps usually get the message fairly quick. Last time we tried a big group we had a full alliance and no message for 3 hours. So small groups = win. Just call on the LS for the kill itself, we get lucky with RR too, usually minimal number of them possible.

Ahh, I can see how that would spoil your enjoyment of them. From a Samurai perspective, they are heaven in a rotten body. About the only problem is that it's pointless trying to persuade the sheep to go there. Most don't even have Dvucca Isle SP - especially the "my only 75 job is a BRD" types.

It really annoys me when people with level 75 jobs don't have staging points considering that I was able to solo almost all of them on my second character when his highest job was 39 WHM. I only needed my main to escape through Halvung and to sleep all of the Imps in front of Ilrusi Atoll.

And it is sad as hell when people don't have Dvucca Isle now since you can get there through the Ruins so easily.

I didn't even need the Ruins. Just tiptoed past the imps near Illrusi and Sneak/Invised through the reef, dodging Lamia No.5 on the way and one of those true-seeing mirrors + guards. Cake.

Nowadays, with chocobos the staging points are almost all very easy to get through.

I loved this as my RDM. So long as you had 3x heavy DD ninjas, it was perfect. I found it better when we had nin than warrior for some reason, probably because they could evade more and still did nice dot on those demons. Also because with them not taking much of my MP, I used alot of my time pulling as a RDM while they were finishing mobs.

That scroll of dark spirit pact was a nice touch by the devs

I still love aerns, my best xp I've ever had, and probably the best mobs to fight in the game. Done it both RDM and THF, I preferred it on my RDM though because it really keeps you on your toes, you've gotta watch for what weapon the mob is using , to realize what stat effect it's going to do with it's weapon WS, aswell as the other TP moves. They're just so fun, reraise makes it awesome too

I wish they just let people get CP from sea, to give my friends more of an incentive to go there. It's really nice xp, mobs are really easy to mow down too, 16 min repops do hurt though if you've got a strong team.

Yes, and thankfully I've finally gotten out of the mire and into some real XP camps. In particular, manaburn @ Mt. Zhalom (thanks Abo for the help with the key) and spinners in Mamook. Good shit there with a good setup.

Now off for a month+ of pimping out RDM merits. =D

I tried out a mobile party in Ru'hmet one day, wasn't all too impressed. The path we mapped out looped us around the outer edges of the palace, running through ghrah, euvhi and aern. Ghrah had a very low xp yield, euvhi took too long to kill for their level, and the tp moves on aerns are some of the most annoying in the game (I'm looking at you, Impact Scream).
Still, we pulled in somewhere around 10-12k /hour as WHM RDM BRD NIN NIN WAR, and (if for nothing more than the novelty of it) it's still a fun place to xp. I'm sure with some more experience you could bump that number /hour up.

To get higher xp you ignore all the Euvhis, kill Ghrahs only if they aggro, otherwise just keep running till you find aerns.

You wont get gigantic chains, most of them will hit 4's-9's depending how lucky you are with Reraise. Also a good idea to start a room off with a EM/T Ghrah so you can start the first aern with chain1, for the xp bonus.
