No, Tim Allen takes shitty roles because he's a shitty actor, and would ruin a good part if he ever played one. Nicholas Cage used to be the fucking bomb 10+ years ago.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

I think Mat Damon was in on the joke, either way, its pretty funny.
Yeah, staged.
matt damon isnt that good an actor.Originally Posted by Eaglestrike
Of course it's staged... No actor would get that worked up about a kimmel show.
My first reaction was it was staged. If it wasn't I think Matt was in the right, that's just stupid.
Also, I like Matt Damon as an actor, like someone posted above, it's not about doing 50 movies in a year, it's about doing the movies that mean something and are right for you. That's just my opinion though. ^^
Matt Damon is good in like every one of his movies... Rounders? Saving Pvt Ryan? Good Will Hunting? Seriously he's the man. I personally can not WAIT for The Departed. Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Leo Dicaprio and Martin Sheen in 1 movie ftw.
Yes, Damon was in on the joke. That was a pretty big collective "whoosh" I just heard.
Source? If you have none it's an opinion, which is what everybody here has right now.Originally Posted by Talus
I call staged as well. As high maitenance as hoolywood types are, if it werent a joke, he'd of never showed up after 2nd time getting stood up. Thing i don't understand is how he thought he would get good P.R. from a "staged" blow-up like that.
I dont think he cares about PR, he just likes to have a good timeOriginally Posted by Tyche
and I do believe he is a good actor, he can play a varied amount of roles really well, and agreement on cage being washed up, just not the same draw anymore

Yeah, just voice work, but still...2 pretty decent roles in two pretty good movies.
Matt Damon is way too good for that show anyway, and hes not washed up rofl. Every serious movie I've seem him in hes just rocked. Good Will Hunting, both Borne movies, Syrina (sp?), etc. He recently had a child and got married, so he wasn't working much I guess.
Honestly, if you made 17million dollars in 2005, do you really need to worry about money for a while? And yeah, The Departed is going to be AWESOME. Great director, and an amazing cast of characters. It also has Mark Walberg (sp?) in it too, and hes really not a bad actor given the right material (loved dirk diggler (sp?)).
Going to watch the video when I get home and have sound.
This reminds me of the episode of Jackass where they talked to Brad Pitt and had him go stand in line at a movie theater in line with a bunch of Joe Schmoes, then the Jackass guys pulled in a big old van with hoods and ski masks and kidnapped him out of the line while he was screaming and flailing for his life. It fucking killed me it was so hilarious. It showed a camera inside the van and Brad Pitt almost had to be submitted to the hospital because he was laughing so hard. There was a Jackass guy outside disguised as a joe schmoe also, to tape the people's reactions. The people were flipping out. They were on the phone with 911 and saying with such conviction, "No! This is not a joke, please listen. Brad Pitt was just kidnapped right in front of me."
Edit: haha found it, classic Jackass moment.

lol @ people who thought that was real.
lol the way he clung onto the top of the van was great. If i saw that i woulda had the same reaction as those people.
The only Nicholas Cage movie I ever really loved was "The Rock", but it was more for Sean (who basically played Bond 30 years later) than him.
that was a good movie. Face-off wasnt too bad... he was making movies left and right back then .Originally Posted by Xavier
