For as much of the lolpup shit that goes around (mine is 75 w/capped merits so I get plenty of it) any of the people on here laughing would be just as pissed if any of their 75s was hit like this. It's not a hacked account if the info was freely given. Same lesson as 'if more than one person knows about it, it's not a secret.'

My question is, is there any special way she can approach GM's? The problem with this situation is that the person knew her info and was a long time friend. Does the fact that the person had her info nullify all chances of getting her items back? GM's up to this point have pretty much told her she got fucked and there is nothing she can do about it. Does anyone know of any special ways you can approach GM, like ask for SGM or someone?

I know of a few people who have gotten rare/ex items back from a GM after being hacked. relevelling her PUP i have no clue. best hurry before they wipe the logs though.

Basically just posting this to say that Gm can and will restore items to people.

The situation that occoured was a friend of mine was hired to craft a Togi and believed that he and the client had an understanding that if he HQ'ed he keeps it and replaces it with another synth no charge to the client. His big mistake was he felt he could trust this guy and didnt discuss it at length, so therefore he ended up HQ, buying items and crafting and mailing a NQ to the client. The guy proceeds to call GM, the above SS say the rest , and 5 min. later the client is running around with a NQ and HQ togi in his bazaar. My friend was suspended and mad as hell for a few days, but he sure got some nice screenshots out of the deal.

So back on topic, I guess a GM has the power to restore a dropped item. I'm sure something comes into play about the logs being less than 5 min. old in this case, but none the less they definately can restore a dropped item.

id like to know how they actually do that though. Get a piece of gear back like that? Do they roll back characters, retreive data, transfer to different parties or the same. Or can they "create" the data and straight give it to them.

Sounds like the crafter was just trying to keep the HQ. What kind of a dumbshit client would let the crafter keep a fucking rare HQ body piece and just take an NQ?

I'm sure they can create an item. It has an item ID, and I'm sure a GM has the ability to 'spawn' an item based on its ID. Can do that all the time on any private server for an MMO.
