They've used that excuse in the past for many things. Some seem feasible, the most suspicious though is the fact that Mog Safe cannot expand past 80 spaces due to PS2 limitations. I'm not discounting that it's possible there's a valid limitation somewhere, but it sounds suspicious. I'm betting that if anything it was a design limitation that they dug themselves into, but with enough reworking it could be fixed. Only they know though, I guess.Originally Posted by Cliff

"They" is actually "he", judging from watching them play. But what are you gonna do? They're making money playing the game. Can't prove they RMT unless you set up a sting / track transactions with bank characters, which SE has proven reluctant to do.
So they'll continue to make their $10/day, which allows them to live like kings in rural china, and SE will slowly stomp away all the gil in the system as they continue to catch only the IGE bank accounts.
PS. If you haven't noticed, IGE has switched to holding a minimum amount of gil since they got stomped. They "sell out" easily. My guess is they are warehousing most of their gil on "legit accounts" they have purchased (hi2u lv65 drg that nobody wants to buy, you get to hold 200m), and only transfer, in a clandestine manner, to their main transaction mules every few days. Making it so that if SE brings down the hammer again, they only lose a fraction of their gil assets.

I don't know you, I don't mean to disrespect you, but someone's gonna point out the fact that for someone with a relic you're paying a lotta attention to IGE... Just... how exactly do you find out that they "sell out" easily... is allPS. If you haven't noticed, IGE has switched to holding a minimum amount of gil since they got stomped. Not to derail the thread too much (but I'm going to participate in slight derailing anyway) they actually projected the space for the game at pretty much the correct number. The problems start when they allow unrestricted influx of RMT (and by that I mean SE doesn't actively ban people who are 99.9% likely to be RMT.) Now we're in a situation where there's so many blatant RMT groups leveling that honest players are finding it difficult to level their characters.Originally Posted by Cliff
My question is: WHERE do these retarded RMT think they're going to be farming gil? Every single money making activity in this game has RMT attached to it. I mean, is there such a huge market for gil selling that it's worth it for these RMT workshops to invest monthly fees/hardware/software costs to produce mediocre amounts of gil that SE more than likely will wind up nuking? I just don't get it. It doesn't seem worth it for these morons to continue, but like the fucking retarded stubborn jackasses they are, they try anyway.
What a supremely stupid thing to post.Originally Posted by Plow
Yeah obviously 3 years of levelling crafting toons made 0 gil, and IGE gave him the 400m he needed to get spharai.
Most people check IGE prices every once in a while just for shits and giggles, and to keep an eye on how "active" RMT is. It's pretty obvious that they sell out easily, because every time you check they're always sold out.Originally Posted by Plow
Personally, I'd be more suspicious of someone who makes vast amounts of money in a major way through crafting that pays zero particular interest to IGE at all, it's an extremely valuable tool to judge the trends in the economy, especially before Cliff released his server economy index graph.Originally Posted by Fhqwghads
lol @ saying aurik RMT'd for his relic.
His 4 100 crafts in his sig (if he still has that one on BG anymore) definately couldn't have made him that money...![]()
I remember when he was the first person to post a screenshopt of having 100+ mil like... over a year ago?
Right. I meant that associating some kind of gil buying activity to someone who is familiar with the current market value of gil is pretty lame. I check prices frequently, because seeing what the value of gil is provides insight into what direction the economy could potentially take. Has absolutely zero to do with even the remotest thought of buying gil.Originally Posted by aurik

sorry if I'm the only person with balls but if a 5 post person had said what aurik said, I would most certainly not have been the only person to point it out
oh and nobody's answered the question either, checking prices is one thing, knowing that they "sell out easily" is another. if there's some way other than buying x amount of gil, and it not selling them out, and later buying x amount of gil, and it selling it out, I'd like to know what that method is. at that point knowhing the gil prices might actually be useful in some way shape or form... although I still don't see it.
oh and one more ninja edit: it's more like LOL at saying ANYONE that has relic rmt'd it. It's one thing to rmt 1,000, hell even like 10,000 bucks worth... it's insane but I can see it happeneing... but 30-40k $ spent on a video game? I don't think so...
Yes, but a 5-post person wouldn't have a long history of crafting prowess, and yes my screenshot of just over 100m gil, all personally earned, was about a year ago this monthOriginally Posted by Plow

I seriously want to know though what are you judging how easily they sell out by? Just by when the site says "sold out" or what?Originally Posted by aurik
Yes, pretty much. How often do they indicate that they can't satisfy an order of the higher quantities of gil in an immediate fashion? The frequency of that has gone WAY up since June.Originally Posted by Plow
