Here's one other thing to try:

Load a Colibri with Virelai, have someone get charmed. Charm the Colibri. Take it outside its spawn range, and release it so it disappears.

Will the player who was charmed become uncharmed as soon as it despawns?

SE needs to give Colibri something about as valuable as tree cuttings, so RMT will be tempted to farm them like they do 24/7 in zitah. Then you can just load up some Colibri with Virelai, wait until it charms an RMT, then kill him fast.

Or load it up with 8 ancient 2.

Make sure it opens with a Horde Lullaby. I remember someone being able to stack several songs in succession, so I'd say Horde > AM2 > Foe > AM2 would be good. Maybe a threnody, to boot.

I'ld say get a bard, black mage, and white mage and load one up with virilae, horde lullaby, AM 2, and Cure V/Curaga IV just to really screw with people when the pull it.

I did the initial Colibri spell testing back when ToAU came out and reported some findings.

The sad thing is that once they're "loaded up," there's no telling what order they'll cast everything in.

So no Horde Lullaby + AM2 fun T_T (Sadly)

Here's an interesting scenerio. I just went to lvl off of colibris in bhaflu thickets. Exp party was war/war/thf/nin/rdm/whm. Ideal tp burn setup. We got to camp and destroyed 2 or 3 colibris and all was good, then something happened.

We pulled a colibri and all of a sudden we found ourselves sleep-ga II'd. The ninjas shadows of course were shredded. Then the colibri decides to follow that up with burst II while we were all asleep hitting our ninja for about 950 damage and leaving him with 100 hp. Our whm cure IV the ninja then curaga 1 us and ninja recasts utsusemi ichi--> only to have it rape us with firega III and take out ninjas shadows again. By this point hate control is lost and the colibri deliveres another Burst II on our red mage for a knock out. Then we all get a nice dose of sleepga II again and the colibri takes out our ninja. White mage starts casting warp to get the hell out of there only to recieve a nice warm silence, canceling his cast midway.

Needless to say we got raped badly and died. Party wiped and disbanded. I lost my empress band charge because I didn't get another party after and now I'm down about 1500 exp.

So now WTF HAPPENED??? We did not have a blm with us and nobody casted any of these spells on it. Please clear this up because I have never had this happen before.

If this is real, this is pure gold lol. I never felt ass enough to do that to a collibri, but it's so damn tempting haha

I suspect that once this is really common knowledge, you'll get smacked down pretty hard (72 hour suspensions) until they fix this. After all, if you are there with a charm ability, all you have to do is charm, drag out of normal wander and release to despawn, so you don't have much excuse on that score.

Agreed. It was so fun back when mamools @ Bhaflau had mixed up jobs, I thought it was due to their loony nature, then they changed them to real jobs and they lost their fun.
