I remember threads after the release of ToAU were much more likely to feature words like "win" and "own". In fact many of the threads before the last update still had words like "win" and "own" in them.

But seriously, it is like there are two teams that develop the game. One team loves us and gives us nice things like Limbus, ENMs, Adventuring Fellows, Sanction XP bonus, and Walahra Turban. The other hates us and gives us horrible things like level capped zones, CoP Dynamis, Jailers, Hydra, and not being able to call Chocobos in zones where you should be able to call them.

Someone bring the first team back please.

SE had to let the original ToAU team go because of PS2 limitations in the office building.

Well, anyone can say what they think should have been included and expected, and what counts as true bonus content, but I still see them as good updates for including those things.

If, for example, FFXI never had any teleports or warps (no WHM teleport spells, no outposts, no BLM warp spell, scrolls or cudgels, no rings), and everyone had to walk or choco everywhere, and then SE all of a sudden released an update after ToAU release that included all those things so that now we can teleport and warp, I'd say it was the greatest update ever and that ToAU delivered.

It's fine if you think it should have all been in from the start, but nonetheless, it wasn't and an update delivered it. And it was good to have it.

The difference is that se shouldn't be applauded for lowering the bar then jumping over it. Rather, we should expect them to raise the bar. Mog locker was obviously designed with a capacity greater than 50 in mind, increasing it is a ho-hum affair, especially when se continully adds situational gear that takes more and more of our inventory(or adds new jobs which do the same).

The dagger update and absorb tp are examples of good changes that people might not have expected and should be thankful for.

I like the idea of level capped zones, I just don't like how XP is nerfed and you can't wear high level gear there (at a reduced effectiveness.)

At least CoP dynamis has NM fights that aren't just beastmen with more HPs.

I'd hardly call a centralized town with all the crafting guilds, a taru to warp you to jeuno, easy teleports to the best merit spots, and a +15% xp bonus with autorefresh/regen/2x food duration a horrible feature.

Unless you mean everything after limbus in CoP.

Having everyone who used to be spread over 5 AHes in Jeuno crowded into 1-and-a-half AHes in Al Zhabi/Whitegate is a horrible feature. Jeuno was nice because you could always find a quiet AH. Al Zhabi/Aht Urghan Whitegate is too small for the player base it is expected to serve.

The lack of transit options to go to the near east is also a very annoying feature that contributes to the overcrowding and lag (which is especially an issue in Beseiged). I live in hope that Dkhaaya (the Olduum Ring quest giver) will eventually have a longer quest sequence which will correct this issue (you'll note that you still have his research journal in Key items, so I don't think his quest is a stand-alone).

I honestly was excited when I heard they were putting level capped zones into CoP. I had that as an idea before I even heard anything about the future expansion containing them. I couldn't wait to see a 40 be able to party with a 70 and get rid of the annoying strict level requirements of normal parties. Obviously things didn't work out. I don't think I have ever visited the promyvions since the first week CoP came out besides to lose level 30 xp while death-warping.

I really wish they would change all gear to be like the tamas/rajas ring, but I'm sure that will be too hard in keeping the balance between all equipment at different scaled levels. We all know that the PS2 is to blame as to why we don't have room to store our level capped gear.

Maybe some people might complain about constant adjustments, but I feel square should adjust zones that nobody parties in to make people go to them. Put some taru NPC that casts some sort of signet on you in the Riverne Sites, Burburimu, Zi'Tah, Behemoth's Dominion, Uleguerand Range, etc. Make this signet start out at a 20% XP boost. Then, have square keep detailed stats every day for each zone. Square should then keep upping the xp boost by 10% each patch until each zone has as many users as the more popular alternatives. (I also agree that many of those zones are as good or better than the more popular ones right now, but an incentive would be a nice way to get people spread out)

Asking SE to go back to the old areas and making common sense changes is like begging for someone to give you a million bucks, it just doesn't happen.

Limbus isn't all gold and puppies. First, most AF+1 sucks. Just like most AF sucks. For each set there's probably one or two nice pieces, but that's it. And you give up your npc storage option for the pieces you upgrade at the very least, and all the rest as well unless you do pain-in-the-ass AF requests. Second, there's practically nothing worth buying with Ancient coins after Brutal Earring. Third, Homan and Nashira are not what they could have been.

That said, I do like the system of collecting currency and then selecting your own reward with it. Much better than the 'be lucky as fuck' system Dynamis has.

Hi, I'm Boxers Mantle, also, for mages, they can get the other two earrings (Loquacious and the Brd one-I'm told is very nice for Brds)

As for your Homan and Nashira comment, not sure about what job you have, but I know every thf out there wants Homan legs and Homan body, oh and seems Drks want in on that too (none of my jobs can use Homan, but I hear from all my thf friends that Homan for tp is great). So yeah, Limbus is that good.

Homam is very nice, but Nashira is kinda weak especially in relation to how much harder it is to aquire compared to Homam.

I would have to agree that limbus is my favorite part of CoP.
