Might make for some decent rematchs though, what with Bullseye, Venom, and some of the others playing for the Pro-registration side now

I really hate to drag this up, but as some of us following the series know, the final issue is coming out soon. Are you guys still reading it? I've been getting in on all the tie-ins too. So far picked up Wolverine, Amazing Spider-Man, Frontline, Cable/Deadpool, X-Men, and a 1 shot issue of Winter Soldier.
And Septimus was and is still pretty right. Issue 7 WAS supposed to come out on the 31st but is now pushed back to "sometime in February" I wanna see the ending of this, dammit!
And on top of all this, the marvel community is buzzing with rumors that Cap's gonna die, or Mary Jane and Aunt May are gonna die, so on. There was a book put up on amazon and since taken down that showed a red, white, and blue Iron Man suit holding an American flag. Iron Cap? American Iron Man? Marvel is denying the existence of the image completely. :/
I sorta have a feeling Cap will die too. And maybe either MJ or May, probably May, but definitely not both.
The whole thing will end when Cap die and people will wake up and not register, whole law goes to bust, crappy unheard superheroes will be in N-Zone and never to be heard of ever again.
And Tony Stark's evil scheme failing. I hated him since the day he stole Spider sense.
I thought Captain America was going to be in Alpha Flight... (AKA the Canadian super hero team.)
And holy crap, can they stop killing Aunt May? I don't even know why she is alive, they killed her off like 10 years ago.
*points to sig*![]()
They just need to make her a Herald of Galactus and leave it at that.Originally Posted by Septimus

Anyway, earlier in the thread people commented that Jean Grey has died the most out of any comic book character, but really Aunt May has died more times than anyone can count.
Yeah, I think Jean's only died twice or maybe three times.
The Wolverine tie-in is my favorite so far. Whereas everybody else is blaming the superheroes for the explosion, Wolvie goes after the guy who actually did explode. Good reading. It's Wolverine #42-48
Marvel's being really cock-teasey with things lately. Saying things like "One beloved members of the Marvel universe will die" and like "Be ready to see a very well-known classic superhero to make a triumphant return." And the speculation is that the returning hero will be Adam Warlock, Jean Grey, or the original Captain Marvel. Or maybe the return of the REAL Thor.![]()
And they've also said "Be ready to see Mephisto come back in a big way in 2007" That would be awesome. It's like "Screw your registration laws, Iron Man. FRIGGIN SATAN WANTS TO KILL US ALL"
Jean has only died twice. (Not counting near misses and the like, three times if you count when Phoenix took over for her in the space shuttle.)Originally Posted by Huggo
I think the only people who would piss me off if they died (besides the X-Men who have mostly stayed out of it) would be Mary Jane or Aunt May. I could only hope it will be Wolverine, but wishes never come true. And it has to be Thor coming back. Most people don't really know about Adam Warlock, Jean will stay away for a few more years (they need to have Joss Wheadon write her return though), and they can never have the original Captain Marvel come back or they will lose any shred of artistic credibility that they have left.
Pretty true about Captain Marvel. Maybe it'll be his useless kid Genis Vell. His daughter Phyla is no better she's weak as hell. Might be neat to have to holder of the Infinity Gems come back to the Marvel Universe though.Originally Posted by Septimus
What's wrong with Wolverine? After reading Origin and The End I think he's got some pretty interesting character development. And speaking of which, he can't die. He dies in The End at 210 years of age.
Anyone read the interview with Joe Quesada about the aftermath of Civil War? I believe it was related to something called the "Skrullocaust."
It briefly mentioned something about Iron Man and Reed having been impersonated and Cap and the gang being angered from discovering the truth and the real reasons behind Civil War. It could've tied into the Annihilation series but I didn't read too much into it and can't find the article again for the life of me.
Hmmm I've been combing the internets for anything I can find out about Civil War aftermath and haven't found that. Not saying it can't possibly be true. If you do find that, link me I'm really interested in it. But, from the Joe Q. interviews I've read, he's staying pretty quiet on what's gonna be happening in Civil War aftermath.Originally Posted by -Zer0-
The idea that it could have been Skrulls shape-shifting into Reed and Tony seems unlikely since most of them died in the Annihilation series. Just wouldn't make much sense to send Skrulls to earth when the real problem is mass genocide at home at the hands of giant bugs.
But you're definitely right about Civil War being all about money. Spoilers below, small-fonting it for safety.
In Frontline, Spider-Man hacked into Tony's financial network and noticed Stark industries stock goes up each time there's a big superhero fight, it goes up the day before the Stamford incident, and right when the bill is passed. Not just Stark, but Wolverine found out Damage Control Inc. supplied Nitro with Mutant Growth Hormone which put his explosion power through the roof. Without that, he wouldn't have been able to blow up 612 people. So Wolvie discovers that Damage Control Inc. is profiteering from Civil War by supplying guys like Nitro with MGH and telling them to go cause trouble. And then Damage Control gets called in to clean it up. It all comes full circle.
HOLY SHIT LOOK AT WHAT I JUST FOUND

These can't be real....
yeah, I'd read Wolverine's stories and thought that was interesting. Tony always had more incentive to go along with the registration act since the Stamford incident was used to cover up his own mistake with the airplane.
Is that from the Iron Man series? I haven't read that one yet.Originally Posted by -Zer0-

Geez I havent read Marvel since the Infinity sagas. Man, I loved the Infinity Gauntlet, War, and Crusade. Thanatos was a fantastic speciman of evil turned to good![]()
Is the Infinity Watch still around and good old Adam Warlock? Where are those Infinity Gems?
Warlock still holds the gems, but nobody has seen him in quite some time. Thanos just died in the new Annihilation series.Originally Posted by Toth
The last appearance of Adam Warlock that I know of was in The End, the 6-part a few years back where Thanos becomes god and "sacrifices" himself to fix the universe, declaring that nobody can ever come back from the dead. Two years later, Joe Q. said "wut" to that!
It might figure, him coming back. Infinity Gauntlet TPB was recently reprinted, the "cosmic" characters have a mini-spotlight on them with Annihilation, and Thanos getting gacked by Drax would certainly get his attention (those two being former Infinity Watch members). Mephisto's return is nigh-prophetic, considering he hasn't been a major force since the Infinity series pretty well humbled him... he still owes Warlock for Shalaballa....shabal...shballababal... Silver Surfer's ex-wife's soul. or was that the herald Nova? Whichever. Warlock and Thanos have both snubbed Mephisto bad, so there's a corellation...
It's probably Thor coming back though.
If Cap Marvel comes back then Cap America is definitely gonna die.
Anyway, link for people who don't buy the comic.
