...ok, the conclusion is pretty bad, but at least the 75% of the comic before that is a really awesome fight scene. Spidey's "Spectacular" line cracked me up.
Something tells me Registration wins... I'm going to the comic book store later today for my copy.
Guess I'll keep up some faith for Punisher War Journal, Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears, New Avengers Illuminati, and the upcoming Nova and Silver Surfer series to not suck.
Definitely not a "happy ending". But frighteningly enough, it reflects reality.Originally Posted by Demosthenes

Now every state will have it's own little superteam like some metahuman National Guard. Glee!
*spoiler done*
It's what was expected but... it's still kind of bullshit. Gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out?
I was also kinda surprised, and now all the Cap talk makes sense. Issue 25 is called Death of a Dream. I'm glad he at least made this his own decision. It's pretty clear that the Anti-reg forces would have won. (Although I still can't really wrap my head around just WHO could have beaten The Sentry.) And that last little bit at the end that Tony is now the director of SHIELD makes things a little better. Who would really want Maria Hill to know all those secret identities and powers and stuff? That information is safer with Iron Man, and I can tell that's what he wanted all along now.
And it will be incredibly interesting to see where all of this goes when World War Hulk starts in a few months.
Related to Civil War 7, did anyone pick up Amazing Spider-Man #538 today?
I did not care what the ending was going to be. #1-#6 had a build up of sorts, then #7 throes it out the window, portrays the characters... out of fucking character, etc. #7 read like they took each panel and put it in a hat. They then picked it out randomly, after which they proceeded to pick each line randomly from a separate had and paste it in random panels. It was trash, too many things were left unfinished. It was fuckwit disjointed. I am not buying any more marvel comics. I shall download them. Marvel's Civil war has failed to impress me the way 52 is and the way Infinate Crisis did.Originally Posted by Kyreth

Of course all our questions weren't answered in issue 7. Cuz they want us to buy The Initiative, Fallen Son, and all the other upcoming follow ups.Originally Posted by Demosthenes
However, other comic release today was Punisher War Journal #4 and it kicks ass.
I wanna stab myself repeatedly after reading CW7 and ASM 538.
OMG SPOILERS.
AUNT MAY IS GONNA DIE AGAIN!
Damn she must be over 100 years old.
I haven't read the civil war series, fully or any of the new ASM, but "Fuck Tony Stark" is usually a safe bet no matter Marvel Comic you read. Tony Stark is the epitamy of what people hate about captialism.Originally Posted by Sonomaa

I think that 52 is one of the most amazing things ever done in the comic book industry. Not only is the story fantastic, but the fact that they have not been late once is nearly unbelievable. But as I have said before, DC generally handles company-wide stuff better than Marvel does. (Civil War was the first non X-Men book that I have picked up in years. Probably will be the last for years as well.)Originally Posted by Demosthenes
Civil War made me really like Captain America too...
But yeah, Sentry and Clone Thor... did they ever have a chance? Iron Man is basically on a higher level than everyone else too.
Hulk is going to fuck some shit up.
Read the issue. Anti-registration almost wins the fight.Originally Posted by BRP
I knew they wouldn't have the stones to kill off MJ. And that one panel in AMS 538 which has all these other guys looking at a dead hero on the ground, wonder who that is, it obviously isn't Cap. I'm guessing this is what Fallen Son is gonna be all about.Originally Posted by Syn
Wow, that was a disappointment... It's like they didn't even try to get people to stay in character to end it... There were no repercussions for the pro-reg forces using villains to fight the pro-reg forces...
Just dumb. At least 52 is still good.
The whole Digby/"Fate" thing was perfect last issue. DC's pretty much guaranteed I'm buying issues for a while between Shadowpact/52.Originally Posted by Septimus

*Semispoiler for that issue*
It would appear that whoever wrote and editted this issue read all of the old Warlock/Infinity stuff except for the panel where Eternity says the Living effing Tribunal decreed that the gems can never work in unison again to form the Gauntlet, because damned if Reed doesn't gather all 6 and spaz the Watcher out. I'd offer up non-bets as to who will be the first to use their gem anyways, despite what Reed said, but it'll depend on which fits Deus ex Machina best.
Yeah, Reed's really been pissing me off lately. But Illuminati is an awesome series. I love it to death. For those reading, they exiled Hulk to outer space. And when he comes back at the start of World War Hulk this summer, man... The Illuminati is gonna get their heads kicked in!Originally Posted by Imitarate
