I shave my nuts with an exacto-knife, but it always goes bad and ends up looking like this:
Holy fucking shit not safe for work wow wow wow shameless use of bad image found on other board ok wow.

How many blades is the razor you use if your shave isn't close? I used to use a 2 bladed one and it would be a little stubby. I went to the store and saw some schick quattro shit (4 blades for the verbally inclined) and I've been using that ever since. Closest shave ever every other day. Replacement heads are pretty cheap to.
But whoever said going to the barber is the best shave you will have is right. I always go to him before any big nights cause it really is the closest shave you will ever get. even if it is a little scary![]()

This is what I normally usebut on a more serious note I just use a plain old Gillette Mach 3. Nothing posh

Apply some of that to your face and your bound to come out silky smooth D:
This works for me.
I always shave after a hot shower, because of the hair follicale thing. While in there I use Nivea for men Double Action Face Wash.
I use a gel based shaving cream that goes on smoother and thicker
A Gillette Fusion Razor and after going against the grain shaving I wash off with hot water. That usually does well for me, I don't use after shave at all either. I did sometimes when my skin would break out after shaving but I don't have that problem anymore.
That should work pretty well for most people.
I go with a razor with 2 blades and hot water, and plain old soap lathered thick lol. Shave down and shave up, then do it again. It's almost never as close as I wish it was though. Crop myself an Abe Lincoln and trim it tight with scissors.
I tried the fusion, but went back to the Mach3. To be honest until they make a razor that gives me a clean shave for more than like 4 hours it's all about comfort for me.
if you really think your shaving could be better try a 4 bladed one, it might do the trick. Worked for meOriginally Posted by Epical
I shave right after a hot shower, I use Gilette shaving cream and shave with the grain then against. Then I rinse with warm water and apply some aftershave.
but ya normal Mach 3 for me.
I use an electric when I am being lazy (most of the time) and I follow up with a razor if I am not in a rush and running late. Go with the grain then afterwards go against the grain. I use disposable razors and whatever foam crap I have on hand. I have to use aftershave or my skin gets irritated of course. My electric does a good job, my hair does grow back pretty fast either way.
Kyan from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy would probably be in a coma after reading this thread because of all of the people who shave against the grain. You are just asking for ingrown hairs.
Personally, I like my electric razor. It is fast, it gets the job done, and it does not leave me nicked up with razor burn. For me, using a disposable razor is just too much work; I do not have 10-15 minutes every morning to devote to shaving. My electric razor may not shave as close, but I get done in a 5th of the time.
And for the OP, if she doesn't like it, then tough noogies. Some women prefer a man with a little stubble.
I just use a handheld, it's cheaper and you get better precision.
The best way to get a clean shave with a handheld is to swipe downwards, then after that, reapply a little bit of cream, and swipe upwards. That'll leave your face feeling like a baby's skin.
If you haven't done it before, it's going to be pretty uncomfortable the first couple times, but then your face will get used to it.
use a four blade razor like said a few posts up, they are awesome, the one i use even has a back blade for sideburns and such. If you still get stubble tell her tough shit, its just a little facial hair..
edit: forgot the first "r" in razor >.>
Does yin endorse a handheld?Originally Posted by Daahan
