Need classic Adventure/Strategy game suggestions.

So, it's 2am in the morning, and all week I've had a burning desire to find a good adventure / stat-building / strategy(preferably turn-based) game that is actually fun and not going to bore me after 10 minutes.

I'm looking for something I can download (i.e. don't suggest new games that are on retail) or is online, for the PC (or an older emulator), and not in torrent form (p2p networks blocked at this location).

Any good ideas?

Wow, I found it... I had played this game non-stop for a few weeks many years ago, could never find it again when I got the urge to play it. Was looking for it again today and found it finally. It's a basic dungeon game, overhead view stat progression depend on class and equipment, etc. But I found it fun.

Ahhh, Wizardry.... brings back memories. Though if your going to play 7 (and can get a hold of a copy) start with 6 first for the entire storyline.

Might and Magic: Mandate of heaven. Real old, but a good game if you can find it.

There's always the classic Rogue and its many many variations... one of the games mentioned above is a variation of it, its a dungeon crawl pretty much was orginally ascii graphics all the way... but there are variations that will give you nice looking graphics... all the dungeon floors are random gen... and i dont think theres an end (there might be im not sure)
