VI is best!

You're crazy, have you played IV? That game is so deep, and SO difficult, it dwarfs any of the others.
Like that part when you have to climb up the whales mouth and get thrown to that far off island. Or the part at the end when you sneak up to the castle and have to rescue the Unicorn. That game is ridiculous and so fun.

Can't belive nobody has mentioned Bard's Tale. It was pretty much the original turn based RPG. Not much in the way of strategy, but awesome for its time nonetheless.

Pool of Radiance was a good turn based game with some strategy.

And maybe I'm weird, but I always preferred Space Quest to King's Quest.

It's been ages since I've played one of those games. But, I do remember the most about VI though. I wish I knew where I put them, I'm curious now and would like to try them out again. Kinda worried about being let down though heh.
