lol no I'm pretty sure you have me mistaken for someone else. I was a noob rdm like anyone else, but at 41 I stopped and started the never ending refresh/haste cycle that runs your brain in madening circles because you've been doing it for almost 2 straight years......

War, the fast that the threads turn into detrailments and who can come up with the best insult contests, are what keep people away and from posting. You know what happened, KB was CFH at 5%. As much as we'd all like some divine reason, there really isn't one.

edit: oh and you had 32 when I looked in the zone but maybe some were AFK.

btw I really respect Alleya's reply, people should have a lot of confidence and pride in their LS, and it's good to see people showing that.

Hello to all of my friends in the various linkshells that read these forums and hello to the new faces that don't really know me that well in game.

I don't really do much talking on this website being that it isn't my linkshell but I feel that since I am an elder representative of Kazoku I should be one of the first people to help straighten out the details of what happened last night. Note: all this information is what I know of from the moment King Behemoth spawned till when King Behemoth was finished off (when I went to sleep).

First, when the gil sellers claimed King Behemoth I asked in party (or LS chat, I can't remember) if we have to random or something. But before there was even a chance for anyone to reply to that message I was still running around spamming chi blast till King Behemoth finally loaded up on my screen (my cable company sucks ass so HNMs in overpopulated areas take a while to load on my screen). When he finally loaded on my screen his name went from purple (gil seller claim), to yellow (went unclaimed for a second), back to purple (someone in my ls claimed), and finally red (my chi blast shot off at it).

During the fight there were other linkshells doing randoms. We were told to ignore the outside chat and focus on the fight. I figured outside chat was just a distraction of some sort to try and make us die while reading stuff and I thought the randoms were only just incase we did somehow all die to King Behemoth the linkshell with the highest random would be next to fight. When King Behemoth was around 50% health I got a message from a friend in Kinzuru asking why my linkshell didn't do a random at the start and why we just took the claim. At the time I had no idea we had to random off of gil seller death. I thought the random thing was just for when normal linkshells die to a HNM. I learned a valuable lesson that night.

The call for help thing left my entire linkshell thinking the same thing all of you guys are thinking, what the hell happened? We aren't sure if it was a mistake or if it was done on purpose. I am pretty sure Slick did it by accident when he was trying to disengage the mob to rest up or something.

I would like to speak as a senior member of Kazoku when I say that please don't look down on us for the mistakes we do. Not all of us are bad people. Many of us actually work really hard and try our hardest to be nice to everyone. It hurts when we are looked down upon as entire linkshell because of a single person's mistake or actions.

yeah a lot of people do it, but most don't do it as a response. most responses actually have some relevance to what was being said.

there isn't a reason why the CFH'd happen, there is however a reason why nearly everyone in the zone zerged it immediately after.

no one in kaz really cares what bg/the end game community has to say about what happened.

if people in your LS actually cared to communicate even slightly with the rest of the end game community, it wouldn't have turned out the way it did.

Now if Group A initially claims X Mob, then they have the right to it. Unless they zenmetsu fully wiped then the randoming occurs among the other groups that have been camping. Now since Group A initial claimer wiped and went unclaimed, then what happens then? Is it a Free-For-All, do we allow them to get it back to fight or do we random at this point?

Since they are gil sellers, since we all hate gil sellers that I assume, since they were the one that claimed first, are the rules applied to them as well? I'm sure a lot of you would say no, because they don't play for what the game was designed for. I would really like to know, do we give it back to them? Give them a chance to fight it? So lets assume one day, Gil sellers are strong enough to take down the kings and they want to take part in our end game community, are we gonna random with gil sellers now? The reason I ask because people asking us to random, I was very unclear as to why so that is why I chose not to random with anyone. Based on my observation that I have been playing for over 2 years, these rules tend to alter when different situation arises. People flame gil sellers and encourages wipes and stealing. I asked Slickrick why he did it, he said he didn't know what was happening, it was a mistake and he was sorry. Am I still pissed about it? No I'm over it because all in all, its just a game and we play it for fun. There will always be other opportunities in the future. If we want to keep things positive in the end game community we should all respect each other, its pretty obivous that rivals shell don't really get along especially when it comes to competition. Maybe next time when you guys speak of respect, not to call out Kinzuru, stop fucking with our shit and we will do teh same. Calling for help on bombs on our jormy run was not cool, calling for help an add while we were fighting Cerubus and training it around us was not cool it either. Lets all knock it off and play the game for fun.

even people on other serves know BG Forums isn't reserved for BG only discussion. if it's a matter with multiple linkshells, the discussions are usually held here. no one says they have to but the chances of it being read here is a lot higher than anywhere else.

mostly correct, but basically anyone with a large enough group at the time of random will try to get in on the random (even if they were not camping in the first place). that's kind of shady but really hard to avoid.

on Bahamut, traditionally, you're not suppose to take it when the claimer dies, you're suppose to wait till everyone in the claiming LS dies. but this case is different since the claiming group were GSers and no one will respect their integrity as an LS.

if gilsellers claim, every LS will try to steal it from them. that's a given.

the first LS to successfully steal it should hold it until a random can take place. the holding LS will pass the NM over to the LS with the highest random. if it's done like that, chances are people won't be trying to steal it from you, even if there's a CFH people won't zerg the NM, they'll let it reset and the next highest random will have a go at it.

the "rule" has numerous loopholes and i'm sure FI, Kinzuru, Siste and whoever else will exploit those every chance they get. but still it's better than a Free-For-All where people are going to try and swipe your NM and CFH on it.

if it's unclear, the reasoning is, any wipe is followed by a random to see who goes next. it doesn't matter who performed the wipe, a wipe is a wipe and all wipes are treated the same. gilsellers losing claim for any reason = wipe.

a wipe does not mean a free spawn. "Free-For-Alls" on Bahamut should usually only occur on the initial spawn.

at this stage of the game, almost everyone will encourage a wipe. but not everyone encourages stealing and even less people will try to cause a wipe (via MPK).

obviously people are bitter, no one goes to camp for 3 hours and end up being happy their LS didn't get the claim. the rules are basically there to satisfy their bitterness and make them admit that they lost legitimitely.

if no one tries to do that, it'll only encourage them to steal and MPK.
