He wants Nathan to allow everything to unfold and win the election so that he can bring about his vision of world peace. Nathan asked if allowing his brother and millions of people to die is part of that, and Linderman coldly tells him that it is. Nathan walks out very angry and disappointed.

1) Why would he just sit there with his back to him
2) Why didn't he shield himself with his telekinesis when Sylar was doing that?

Actually I think he was trying to sneak away. Granted he is invisible, he doesn't have Sneak too. (Lol FFXI reference.) Maybe he was trying to move away and didn't realize the glass was gonna come shooting at him like that.. we'll find out I guess.
